Women’s tennis plays home game against Youngstown State

PITTSBURGH — The Duquesne women’s tennis team came down with a 5-2 decision against Youngstown State Friday night at the Alpha Tennis and Fitness Center.
The Penguins (3-8) clinched all three doubles games and scored the first point of the game, then continued their role in singles, winning four of the six singles competitions.
Daniela Latoni earned a three-set win in the No. 3 position in singles (6-4, 3-6, 6-2) to put the Dukes on the board Jasa Roka swept her opponent to 6th with identical 6-3 scores for the other Duquesne point. The Dukes picked up three of their four singles losses in three sets.
Duquesne is up 5-5 this season and will continue his home side tomorrow with his first Atlantic 10 match of the season against Saint Joseph’s. First serve is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
