The new league year began on Wednesday, allowing signings and trades to become official.
The Lions, led by general manager Brad Holmes and coach Dan Campbell, were aggressive from the start of the free hand, attacking the defensive line and secondary line and making a surprise move on running backs. They still need to fill spots at the receiver and backup quarterback and address depth.
And the Lions have seen four players leave last season’s 9-8 team.
