On Saturday 28th May and Sunday 29th May Shoestring Theater at Lake Helen will create a showcase full of family favourites. This production entitled “If you wish for a shoe”, offers a wealth of theatrical talent performing all the film and theater songs you love with their family and friends.

Anne Sollien has assembled an outstanding group of performers, and with so many popular film and theater songs to choose from, this show promises to be one of the all-time favorite Shoebox shows ever produced!

Just to whet your appetite, here are the artists and just some of the songs you’ll experience:

Ayo Demps will perform Beauty and the Beast, and his wife, Tiffany DempsShe will sing “Once Upon a Dream”.

Andrea O’Reilly brings a scene from the animated Disney film dumbo brought to life by performing “Baby Mine” with her two children, Declan and Kenna.

Then we jump on a magic carpet Anne and Bob Sollien for a Aladdin Song.

Brihanna Gaytan and Natalie groom will give us a taste Encanto.

Kelly Fagan will sing “God Help the Outcasts” and then lead a rollicking “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” that everyone will sing along to.

The performance of “Gaston” are theater favorites David Santiago and Steve Gelovichwhich will definitely put a smile on your face.

Other favorite performances and their performers are “Poor Unfortunate Soul” – Kate Dalia; “Out there” – Justin Scarlat; “Be prepared” – Josh Freeman; “home” – Kayla Gelovich; and Sophie Mercado and Penny Wolek With “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” he portrays great friends. Jaydyn Richardson touches the heart with “Proud of Your Boy” and D’Montrae Harris dances across the stage with “Friends From the Other Side”.

The Shoe also welcomes them back to their stage after a long absence alexa and Rob Baldwinas they bring Frozen take the stage with “Love Is an Open Door”; then daughter Lilly joins them for “Some Things Never Change”.

Tori Ratbun sings “Candle on the Water” and daughter Eliot makes her stage debut with “Go the Distance”. Christina Coulterone of the original young artists of the Shoestring Theatre, which now entertains across the country, performs a duet Justin Scarlatas well as an adorable number Enchanted entitled “A Happy Working Song”.

Karina Pomaleswho returned from college will sing “I Won’t Say I’m in Love” and is a recent UCF graduate Hayley Sanz brings “A Change in Me” to life.

save two of the best for last, Carlin Langell performs “When You Wish Upon a Star,” and the companion for the show will be The Amazing One Joyce DeLoach!

Please bring all of your family and friends to attend a show performed by the area’s finest talent. There will be songs to sing along to, songs to make you laugh, songs to make you cry, songs to remember and maybe a few you’ve never heard!

“When You Wish Upon a Shoe” will be presented on Saturday, May 28 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 29 at 2:30 p.m.
