Warzone 2.0 is a nice change of pace in the battle royale genre – Half-Glass Gaming

CoD: Warzone 2.0 Gameplay

Apex Legends is one of my favorite games when I need to relax, kill time or relax. Well, I know the idea of a battle royale game – a genre known for its hectic, often stressful nature – could hardly ever be described as “relaxing”. But between frustrating sessions where I was knocked out of the match almost immediately and nerve-racking rounds where I make it to the end, it’s definitely a comforting game. It’s there, readily available, and waiting for me with open arms.

Since its launch in February 2019 Apex Legends is my most played game year after year. I skip a season or two here and there, but I keep coming back to it and spend more hours playing than I care to admit.

my favorite thing on Apex Legends is the tight feel of shooter gameplay. It is very similar to its sister franchise titanium fall in that regard. It’s also super addictive. The fast-paced nature of the gameplay makes you want to come back again and again. It is great!

But I also love the fast paced gameplay of Apex Legendsas well as its list of funny characters, I didn’t realize I needed a tempo change until one presented itself.

CoD: Warzone 2.0

I downloaded Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 at the suggestion of a friend who told me it looked like something I would enjoy. I decided to check out the latest trailer at the time, and I was immediately hooked. The game looked wild. There were explosions, helicopters, underwater gunfights, more explosions and lots of cool looking gunfights.

So I jumped right in, hoping I’d found a new battle royale game to sink some precious hours into. It didn’t take me long to realize that the game’s trailer was… a little misleading. This ad shows the action of Warzone 2.0 was presented as fast-paced, full-throttle madness. It looked exactly the same Apex Legendsbut even crazier.

To play Warzone 2.0I realized it wasn’t the super fast game the trailer made it out to be – but in a way that’s a good thing.

After playing a few rounds with Randoms and with a friend, I came to realize that Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 it’s not about frantic running and shooting; It’s a more methodical game where patience is key. Sure, there are those moments when you have no choice and need to shoot (or die trying) every enemy in sight. But for the most part, when you dive into this game’s battle royale map, you’ll want to scavenge for supplies like you normally would, and then move on with a more tactical, stealthy approach.

In Warzone 2.0, it’s less about the proverbial fireworks and more about waiting for the best moment to strike. You might want to camp in an empty base or find a perch to sniff from. You should use your eyes and ears to detect other players sneaking up on you. Don’t rush into anything, otherwise you’ll give yourself away and become public enemy number one.

The size of the map is pretty big too, so there’s less chance of you falling with three or four other squads. That way, you can take your time—within reason, of course—while scavenging for weapons, cures, and other supplies. You can also loot for cash, which is great since you can find areas with “shop” crates. Here you can buy new weapons, customized loads, and even pay to revive your fallen comrades.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is built to encourage tactical play. You can’t escape these surprise attacks where you have to fight like an action movie hero, but you shouldn’t specifically seek out this type of game either. Not here. No, Warzone 2.0 it’s more about slowly fending off enemy threats as you try to get that first place.

At first it took me a little getting used to – mainly because I’m putting Apex Legends on a pedestal when it comes to battle royale shooters. But once I got into it and really started playing to my strengths Warzone 2.0I found that there is room for both kinds of experiences.

When I want to unwind with something faster that I can use to turn my brain off after a hard day, Apex Legends will be my go-to place. But when I’m in the mood to invest some time and play a little more strategically, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is a solid, often thrilling battle royale shooter.
