Virginia Women’s Tennis | No. 11 Virginia wins 4-1 at UCF
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. — The No. 11 women’s tennis team from Virginia (12-3, 5-1 ACC) ended the weekend with a 6-1 win over Louisville (8-8, 0-6 ACC) on Sunday (March 19) in indoor courts at the Boar’s Head Sports Club.
Virginia won the colon and built a 4-0 lead before Louisville clinched a point with a win in first place. The Cavaliers won the remaining two games 6-1.
Natasha Subhash and Elaine Chervinsky started the day with a 6-2 win in second doubles. Mélodie Collard and Julia Adams took the point with a 6-4 win on top court.
In singles. Subhash raced in second place to a 6-2, 6-2 win to give UVA a 2-0 lead. Collard followed alone in six with a 6-2, 6-2 win. Sara Ziodato shared her first two sets with Maria Campos in fifth but won 6-0 in the decider to secure the Cavaliers victory.
After Louisville took first place, Hibah Shaikh and Chervinsky won three-set matches in third and fourth place to end the match.

- Virginia is away this coming weekend, playing in Miami on Friday, March 24 at 1:00 p.m. before taking on No. 17 Florida State on Sunday, March 26 at 12:00 p.m
