Virginia Downs Shorthanded Men’s Tennis, 4-0

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA.—Twelfth-ranked Virginia defeated No. 9 North Carolina 4-0 on Friday afternoon in the hall of Boar’s Head Inn.

The Cavaliers won a hard-fought double before winning singles games at No. 4, No. 6 and No. 1.

UVA improved to 13-4 overall this season and 5-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Carolina lost their first ACC match of the year, falling to 11-5, 3-1.
