
With just over seven weeks until NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Selection Sunday, it’s time to take a look at where Virginia stands in the latest March Madness predictions. The Cavaliers have won five straight games and are currently ranked 7th in the latest AP Top 25 poll.
There seems to be a consensus among bracket pundits Joe Lunardi (ESPN), Jerry Palm (CBS) and Mike DeCourcy (Fox), each of whom have Virginia as the No. 3 spot in the eastern region. Below is a summary of each expert’s latest Bracketology predictions:
Joe Lunardi – ESPN
Lunardi has Virginia at No. 3 in the east region and meets No. 14 Princeton in the first round. Lunardi lists UVA as top no. 3 seeds and as the No. 9 overall team in the field of 68 up.
Lunardi currently has seven ACC teams expected to compete in the NCAA tournament: #3 Virginia, #5 Duke, #6 Miami, #7 NC State, #8 Clemson, #8 North Carolina, # 11 Pittsburgh. (Wake Forest is out in the next four)

Jerry Palm-CBS
Palm has Virginia at No. 3 in the east region and meets No. 14 Iona in the first round.
Palm currently has seven ACC teams that are expected to compete in the NCAA tournament: #3 Virginia, #5 Miami, #5 Duke, #7 North Carolina, #8 NC State, #10 Clemson, # .10 Wake Forest (Pittsburgh – First Four out)
