Freestyle and slopestyle talents are also returning to the team Jaka Remec And Boris Rezabek.
We are a Slovenia based team with a history of over 10 years. Our core concept is to highlight that we all want to take the next big step on the global scene and compete with an international group of outstanding talent against the best. Team Unior-Sinter Factory Racing has already announced a renewed partnership with Trek, today we present our riders from France, Sweden, Scotland and of course Slovenia.
French Leona Pierini is fairly new to the racing scene but already has a Junior World Cup title, Junior National titles and Elite Top 15 World Cup results under his belt. She is now ready to challenge the top 10 in the elite category. Ben Although also had great success as a junior and is steadily climbing up the elite category, finishing just outside the top-20 in the final round of the 2022 season. This of course sets a clear target for the rider, who is taking full advantage of his turn of the year between Australia and Sweden. Jure Žabjek is a familiar face in the Unior/Sinter jersey and one of the most successful Slovenian drivers of all time. Not only will he be sharing his experience and knowledge, but he also aims to set best times at the biggest events of the season. The fourth driver in the DH squad is only 14 years old Stan Nisbet from Scotland; Stan has shown amazing speed and style, catching the attention of the international scene. We are delighted to have such talent on the team and will be supporting him at the iXS EDC races while the rest of the DH riders will focus on the newly formed UCI MTB World Series events.

title sponsors Unior bike tools And sinter brakes continues to work closely with the team and continuously develop the best products for mechanics and riders. The team continues to support Jaka Remec And Boris Rezabek, and with it a strong presence in the world of BMX freestyle and MTB slopestyle. Jaka Remec finished 21st at the 2022 World Championships and, at just 17 at the time, was among the youngest in the elite category.

Sharing the excitement ahead of the start of the racing season in Lošinj, the team’s new and old riders had this to say:

Leona: “My two main goals for the season are to have fun on my bike and to develop in the elite category. I’m very happy and proud to join this team with great and professional people for our support, I’m sure we will do a good job together.”

ben: “Incredibly happy to be part of the Unior-Sinter Factory Racing family this year! Ever since I was a kid I had a dream to join a World Cup team, 2023 is going to be a fun year! My plans for 2023 are to focus on the full World Series circuit with some iXS and national championships.”

Right: “I am thrilled to be back on Trek bikes where I started my racing career. And super happy to have international riders on the team. A good feeling on the bike and plenty of time to build up the speed for the first big races.”

Stan: “This year the focus is on gaining racing experience in Europe and taking part in some national races at home. I’m really excited and grateful to be part of a team that gives me such support and where I can learn and develop my riding.”

Grega Stopar, Team Manager: “We have it all – super fast riders who will shape the future of racing, an incredible bike with the best parts and that great mix of determination and relaxed atmosphere. The team will be great on their own, at the same time it helps us improve so many grassroots programs that we manage at Cycling Club Rajd, the club behind the USFR team. That’s perhaps the most important thing we do in the long run, and goes well beyond the descent…”

The DH team will compete in the full UCI MTB World Series program, the full iXS European DH Cup season and other international and national events. All riders are also strong candidates for the national teams for the World and European Championships.
