This is one of the best boutique hotels on South Beach’s Ocean Drive – hotels above average

When visiting the South Beach neighborhood of Miami, there’s no better place to soak up the area’s vibrant culture than Ocean Drive. The pastel-hued, Art Deco thoroughfare that hugs the sand and sea is home to a plethora of lively boutique hotels and notable restaurants that lure travelers to the trendy area year after year. Check in for a sophisticated stay in the heart of bustling South Beach life The Gabriel Miami South Beach.

Designed to adapt to its surroundings, the curio collection Hotel adds elements of 1940’s Art Deco and Cuban Modernism. In the main lobby, pink velvet sofas, mint checkered floors, and turquoise accents adorn the interiors. Above the lobby, guests encounter an intimate mezzanine floor lit by nautical porthole windows, letting in natural light. A teardrop-shaped crystal chandelier hangs prominently over the lobby bar, inviting guests to sip on a sumptuous cocktail.

Spread across the property’s three buildings — Park Central, Imperial, and Heathcote — the 132 guest rooms and suites showcase a Scandinavian minimalist style combined with coastal-inspired motifs: wicker and rattan headboards, oak furniture, and light-blue tropical wallpaper create a beach vibe in the spacious quarters.

The courtyard oasis pool adjacent to the hotel’s outdoor restaurant and bar creates a tranquil retreat amidst the hustle and bustle of Ocean Drive and is surrounded by lush greenery, providing an undeniably relaxing environment. While this is a fascinating location, guests can relax by the glass-bottomed rooftop pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and idyllic South Beach shoreline. Accented with a punchy abstract mural, this rooftop spot is the perfect spot to snap an Insta-worthy photo with a beach backdrop befitting it.

The hotel’s signature restaurant, Meet Dalia, is ideal after a long day catching some much-needed rays of sunshine. The menu serves Mediterranean-American inspired cuisine and offers a variety of shellfish offerings, comfort food classics, and meat dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (think: Eggs Benedict, Greek Salad, And Cheese Burger). As for the libations, we recommend them Frozen pina colada to immerse yourself in the spirit of Miami.
From its prime location on Ocean Drive to its sleek rooftop pool that offers expansive views of South Beach, Gabriel Miami South Beach leaves us feeling like we’ve had the full Miami experience.
