Netflix account holders will pay more for the movie streaming service starting May 20.
Across the UK, the Basic and Standard plans will be increased by £1 per month to £6.99 and £10.00 respectively, and the Premium subscription will be increased by £2 to £15.99.
Netflix increased its prices not long ago, with the cost of Standard and Premium subscriptions increasing in January 2021.
With the cost of living rising, Netflix could see a large number of its 14 million+ UK subscribers decide to cancel their accounts.
Movie streaming rival Disney+ has also increased prices for UK customers from £5.99 to £7.99 a month.
Amazon charges £5.99 a month for Prime Video, but there is a little-known section of Amazon that offers free movies and TV series for those who sign up.
In 2019, Amazon launched a free TV service on IMDB, a media giant’s movie website.

Last month it was rebranded to Amazon Freevee which is currently available on the Amazon website.
The free service streams TV series like Sinbad, Bosch: Legacy, and Hell’s Kitchen, as well as movies and documentaries.
Amazon Freevee is a free alternative for those who no longer want to pay for their Netflix subscription.
The service should not be confused with Amazon Prime Video, the subscription service priced at £7.99 a month or £79 for the whole year.
There are discounts for students and if someone in your household has a subscription, there are also family discounts that can reduce costs.
A free trial is also available, which allows you to sign up for Prime for a month completely free.
Amazon Prime was originally introduced to give customers of the site additional delivery options.
In recent years, Amazon has expanded Prime into a streaming service offering movies, shows, and documentaries.
Prime users also get access to some Kindle books and other freebies across the Amazon site.
