A Port Charlotte man remained in custody Saturday, accused of fatally shooting another man in the parking lot of a members-only chain store.
Jancarlos Lizardi Rosado, 22, was in the Lee County Jail. He faces charges of second-degree murder. Prison records show Rosado’s indictment is scheduled for April 17.
Around 10:50 a.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a shooting at the Depot restaurant, 17751 South Tamiami Trail in south Fort Myers.

The sheriff’s office released footage of the shooting Friday morning. The video was later removed.
The minute-long video showed the victim, a fairly solid bald man in a black shirt with a white logo, black shorts and black shoes, pushing a shopping cart full of groceries down a sidewalk toward his car.
He reaches the trunk and moves away from the screen. As he unloaded the groceries, video shows a man shooting at him, with the victim falling to the ground after tripping over a concrete parking garage and moving back into the area of the video camera.
He then drives around his car, apparently trying to avoid the gunman, clutching his chest and later walking counter-clockwise around the front of the van. The suspect follows him and fires multiple shots. The victim then leans over the roof of the car and confronts the shooter before falling off camera. The shooter then stands still in front of the van.
Restaurant Depot is a members-only chain that sells wholesale food, beverages, equipment and supplies for restaurants and bars. The standalone square white brick building along US 41 has light blue trim.
The sheriff’s office said Friday that the deputies heard gunshots outside upon arrival.
They found the man on the ground, shot multiple times. Rosado stayed put. They did not release the victim’s name or any other information.
Detectives spoke to several witnesses and determined the shooting was unrelated to the deal, officials said.
Restaurant Depot did not respond to multiple requests for comment prior to publication.
The affidavit of arrest was not available on Saturday afternoon. No bail information was available prior to the release.
