Another week, another packed schedule of new movies and shows to watch in cinemas and at home.

To kick things off, here are the films, all of which will be hitting the big screens across Ireland from Friday 20th May.


Continuing the “If You’re Looking For Something Very Different” spirit, this Nordic chiller watches a group of young kids from a series of high-rise developments become close friends, only to discover some of them are gifted with supernatural powers. And not all of them plan to use them forever…


This actually came out last week, but there was a last-minute snafu with the release schedule, so we’re putting it on this week’s list. The highest rated film of the decade! Michelle Yeoh plays an office worker who is inexplicably drawn into a multidimensional struggle for survival. Check out the trailer below and tell us it doesn’t look stunning. And now for the stuff to see at home this week, starting with…


In a brand new test of the reality TV format, a group of 15 people are transported from the UK to a very American high school, all hoping to find love. Best of all, it’s narrated by none other than Lindsay Lohan.

The show is available to watch now on Amazon Prime Video.


When she gets a little wake up call, Beth (Amy Schumer) decides to do something drastic to shake things up in her happy but boring life. 91% on Rotten Tomatoes if you’re thinking about whether that could be good or not, because apparently it is.

All episodes of the first season are now available to watch on Disney+.


Uncanny worlds, violent pleasures, and twisted footsteps await you in the third volume of the Emmy-winning animated anthology from Tim Miller and David Fincher.

All episodes of the new season can be seen on Netflix from Friday, May 20th.

The middle entry in the new Halloween trilogy before it all comes to an end once and for all, with the aptly titled Halloween Ends out this October. Before that, check out Michael Myers as he brings chaos to a sleepy town again on October 31st.
