Is this show supposed to end after season seven?
Although the show has a huge following, the CW has acknowledged this RiverdaleThe seventh season of will be its last – and fans certainly have something to say about it!

The show, which is available in the UK via Netflix, is based on the Archie Comics and stars KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, Madelaine Petsch, Mädchen Amick, Casey Cott, Charles Melton and Vanessa Morgan.

One fan took to Twitter to discuss the news, writing, “Why would they cancel the greatest show ever?” while another added: “Man, after this season, @TheCW, which became part of a generation’s zeitgeist, will basically cease to exist. Watching these cancellation announcements unfold was like watching someone tear down a sports car to sell the bare chassis at a bargain price.”
Are you sad the show is ending?
Cole has previously spoken openly about how excited the cast is for the show to end, telling GQ that the cast “wanted to wrap it up with a bow.” He continued, “I’m not a creative force behind it [Riverdale]. I don’t actually have any creative power behind it [Riverdale]. I don’t really have any creative control. We show up, get the scripts often the day of and are asked to shoot.”

Molly Ringwald, who plays Archie’s mother on the show, also spoke about the ending of the show, telling HELLO!: “I can’t tell you about it unfortunately, but I think it’s ending and ending. The kids are getting older – so it probably will be – but that’s not official information!”
Will you watch season seven?
Molly joined the cast full-time in season four following the sad death of Luke Perry, who played her estranged husband, and told Refinery29 of the loss, “He was the person — every time I flew to Vancouver, I got a text from him: ‘Are you here? Are you here already? What time do we have dinner? He was my touchstone there, the person I saw the whole time.'”
