The Spanish-language drama was renewed after only 9 days
Thanks to Deadline, Netflix had renewed news The marked heart arrived just nine days after the show debuted. The series was reportedly watched 68.04 million hours and reached the top 10 in 68 countries worldwide. In a statement to Deadline, Padrón shared his excitement about the show’s extension.
“I feel privileged and honored by the responsibility Netflix has given me to continue to tell stories that engage audiences. Palpito shows once again that content produced in Latin America can reach all parts of the world. They are projects with their own distinctive signature and at the same time universal, and they host a wide range of local talent in front of and behind the camera. They are stories that show us the world in profound ways.”
Padrón’s deal with Netflix isn’t just limited to Pálpito/The marked heart, However. Deadline reports that the streaming service has signed him to “a multi-year exclusive creative partnership for series and films.” So fans of Padrón’s style of storytelling have a lot to look forward to.

When is The Marked Heart Season 2 coming to Netflix?
The big question among fans of The marked heart, of course, when Season 2 premieres. After all, fans of Netflix Peaky Blinders had to wait three years between seasons 5 and 6. So how long until The marked heart Season 2 begins production? While Padrón didn’t provide any specific answers, he did address the question in his statement to Deadline.
“Season 2 was just announced. So I don’t know where the story is going to go yet,” he said. “I’m taking some time to soak up all this good news before reuniting with these characters in my writing room to craft some new adventures for them. I love how they made viewers want more. That’s exactly what they can expect more of next season. That’s what I’m committed to.”
