The Assetto Corsa 2 release window has been unveiled

Assetto Corsa 2, the sequel to the racing simulation game from Italian developer Kunos Simulazioni, will be released sometime in Spring 2024.

Assetto Corza is a racing simulator game created by Italian developer Kunos Simulazioni.

This news comes courtesy of a financial report from Digital Bros, the parent company of the title’s developer, Kunos Simulazioni, and its publisher, 505 Games. According to the now-deleted document, “The second version of Assetto Corsa is currently under development and is scheduled for launch in spring 2024.” The statement covered the company’s finances for the six-month period between June and December 2022 and contained information on numerous Digital Bros. titles, including Gems of War 3 and Control.

Digital Bros. first hinted at a release date for Assetto Corsa 2 in a May 2021 report. Although this report mentioned the year 2024, unlike the last report, no time period was given.

Assetto Corsa, the first title in the game series, was released for Steam Early Access in November 2013 before receiving a wider release in 2014. The title impressed critics and received generally positive reviews. A second game titled Assetto Corsa Competizione followed in 2018 as the official Blancplain GT World Challenge game focusing on the GT3 and GT4 cars. The franchise is one of Digital Bros.’ most valuable products. According to the latest financial report, it has sold over 28 million copies and grossed over 104 million euros during its lifetime.

The eagerly awaited title will be released in spring 2024.

Speaking of the franchise, the Digital Bros. report states: “Assetto Corsa faithfully recreates the performance and driving experience of real cars by reproducing tire grip, aerodynamic performance, engine parameters and various weather conditions. Almost a hundred cars are available to choose, reproduced in collaboration with the most prestigious car manufacturers, to be driven on legendary circuits such as Silverstone, Monza, Nürburgring-Nordschleife, Barcelona, Brands Hatch, Spa Francorchamps.”

Aside from its potential window, not much information is available about the racing simulator game apart from the fact that it will be built with a new in-house engine similar to the first game. Although the gaming community is calling the upcoming title Assetto Corsa 2, neither Digital Bros. nor Kunos Simulazioni have announced an official title for it.

However, as the title’s release date approaches, we’re anticipating more information.
