The 20 best deals: MacBooks, camera cases and home office gear

Spring officially starts next week, but we’re already having more daylight hours, leaving us feeling sunny and warm. If you can, shake off the winter dust that has gathered around you and get outside with a new camera or lenses. If it’s still cold where you are, you might want a new laptop or smart speaker to bring your home to life. This weekend we have offers for all of these categories and more.

Laptop Deals
Apple MacBook Pro
Apple MacBook Pro Laptop with M2 Pro for $1,899 ($100 off)
We recommend the 16-inch MacBook Pro (9/10, WIRED Recommends) with an M2 Pro chip for those who want a larger display and more battery life than the 14-inch model. This is the lowest price we’ve seen for this configuration, which features the M2 Pro processor with a 10-core CPU and 16-core GPU, 16 gigabytes of RAM, and a 512 gigabyte SSD. The slightly more powerful M2 Pro with 12-core CPU and 19-core GPU (and 1TB SSD) is also on sale for $2,499 ($100 off). Don’t know what’s better for you? Check out our MacBook buying guide.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 Windows Laptop for $1,300 ($500 off)
This 14-inch Intel Core i5 laptop is enticing at this price point. You get an 11th Gen Intel chip, 8 gigabytes of RAM (soldered) and a 512 gigabyte SSD. The tempting part is the 500 nit IPS display with a resolution of 3840 x 2400 pixels, which is delightfully sharp, bright and hard to come by at this price point. Be sure to use the coupon code X1CG9SPACE to get the full offer. Note that the Core i7 configuration, which increases RAM to 16 gigabytes, is also available for $1,808.

Dell XPS 13 Plus
Dell XPS 13 Plus Windows Laptop for $1,149 ($250 off)
We like Dell’s XPS 13 Plus (7/10, WIRED Review). This configuration features a 12th generation Intel Core i5 chip, 8 gigabytes of RAM and a 512 gigabyte SSD. This model has a 1920 x 1200 screen, which is very bright and sharp for this size, but it’s not the 4K model. You can get the 4K screen for $300 more, though, and there’s an Ubuntu Linux option if you don’t need Windows 11.
Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 Windows Laptop for $800 ($300 off)
This is the 16 inch Intel version of the laptop I’m typing on right now. In this configuration you get a 12th generation Intel Core i7 chip, 16 gigabytes of RAM and a beautiful 2.5K touchscreen display. This is an Evo chip that prioritizes battery life over raw processing power, but still has plenty of juice for an average workload and the battery lasts a full workday.
Photo Equipment Deals
The Seattle-based moment started out making smartphone lenses, but these days it’s a fully stocked photography shop that also makes some of our most popular camera cases, straps and, yes, lenses. Moment is currently hosting its annual spring sale with up to 60 percent off some products. We’ve highlighted our favorites below, but you can browse all of the offerings on Moment’s website.
Moment 58mm telephoto lens
Moment 58mm telephoto for $120 ($30 off)
We like Moment’s telephoto lens so much that we included it in our guide to the best compact cameras. You need a special phone case to use it and don’t forget to add the drop-in lens mount so you can easily attach the lens to the back of your phone.
Moment 18mm wide-angle lens for $100 ($30 off)
If you want to go far with your mobile device, this is the lens you’ve been looking for. Why add a lens when your iPhone already has a wide angle? The faster aperture. Moment’s 18mm wide-angle gives you the ability to use your iPhone’s main camera, which means better low-light performance. It’s also a significantly wider angle than your phone’s lens. Don’t forget the case and drop-in lens mount.
Moment Macro 10X Lens for $100 ($30 off)
If I had a compatible phone this would be the lens I would get. Working less than an inch from your subject, this lens offers a view you can’t get without it. If you’re into macro photography, this thing is a lot easier to use and cheaper than a bunch of tubes and dedicated DSLR lenses.
Fujifilm X100V
Fujifilm X100V Starter Set at $1,485 ($165)
The Fujifilm X100V is our favorite travel camera. It’s compact and relatively light, but still has a fantastic viewfinder (optical or digital) and a 24-megapixel APS-C sensor, which is larger than other cameras of this size typically offer. This deal isn’t huge, but thanks to the X100V’s popularity on TikTok, prices have gone through the roof, making this a relatively good buy. This is backordered (that popularity thing again) so you’ll have to be patient.
Moment MTW 21L Backpack for $80 ($40 off)
The Moment MTW backpack is one of our top backpack recommendations in our roundup of the best camera bags. The main compartment keeps your gear accessible, while the front zip pocket lets you easily store things like extra batteries and SD cards. The optional MTW camera insert for $50 ($20 off) can be securely attached and completely removed for even more versatility. Note that this listing varies by color; They are all on sale but only the olive is so cheap.
Moment Rugged Sling
Moment Rugged Camera Sling for $90 ($40 off)
Moment’s Rugged Sling is aimed at street photographers who roam the city all day. It has a modular internal organization system and its weatherproof fabric is made from recycled sails (technically it’s recycled polyester fiber and film, made by Northsail). The best thing is the ingenious magnetic clip system that works very well. This offer is for the 10 liter version in olive; The 6-liter is also available for $80 ($40 off). Not sure what size to go with? We have suggestions.
Moment Rugged Camera Accessories Case for $30 ($20 off)
Moment makes tons of great camera bags, slings and organizers for when you’re on the go, but what about when you’re shoving your gear in the closet? For my money this is the best way to stay organized at home. I have three of these and they keep my lenses, drone and accessories handy and cushioned securely when I’m not using them. And yes, you can take these with you when you go, although I don’t use them that way.
Home and home office offers
Echo point with clock
Amazon Echo Dot (5th Gen, 2022) with Clock for $45 ($15 off)
The latest Echo Dot comes with a new custom wideband driver for improved sound and a sensor that prompts Alexa to perform a task based on room temperature (like turning on your smart fan if the room gets too warm). While it’s likely to be even cheaper for Prime Day this summer, it’s still a good deal. The kids version is also on sale for $50 ($10 off).
Fully Jarvis standing desks: 30 percent discount
We featured this deal last week, but it’s too good not to mention it again. Fully’s bamboo standing desks are our favorite way to outfit our home office. There are a variety of sizes and configurations to choose from, and right now almost everything is 30 percent off. The final price depends on how you customize your desk. Many of these are also available on Amazon.
Crucial X6 Portable 2TB SSD for $110 ($10 off)
Do you know what everyone always needs? More memory. This portable SSD is our top choice for portable external storage. It offers 2 terabytes of storage space and fast access via USB-C. This is the lowest price we’ve ever seen for this drive.
SteelSeries Apex Pro
SteelSeries Apex Pro Mechanical Keyboard for $140 ($30 off)
This deal has been a come-and-go for a few weeks now, but it’s a good price for a SteelSeries keyboard of this caliber. It can be programmed with custom profiles, meaning you can have a calm look for work during the day and then a different profile for light-up gaming at night.
Logitech K380 Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard for $30 ($10 off)
If the above keyboard is too much for you, we also really like this simple and cheap mini bluetooth keyboard. It doesn’t have a number pad and takes two AAA batteries, but on the plus side it’s pink.
Nomad Phone Accessories Overstock Sale
Need a phone case? Charger? charging cable? AirPods case? Nomad has them all and more for sale at the Nomad Outlet. A whole range of mobile accessories are discounted, e.g. B. Up to 20 percent discount for iPhone 14 and AirPods Pro cases. We generally like most Nomad gear.
weatherman
Weatherman umbrellas are on sale until April 1st
We reported on this last week, but it runs until April 1st. Who doesn’t need a good umbrella? The rainy season is here and some of our favorite Weatherman umbrellas are still on sale, as well as a few other great umbrellas from a variety of brands.

Our most popular coffee subscription service offers up to four bags of free coffee beans with the purchase of a starter pack (for a limited time). The catch is that you have to buy a few bags of the Starter Packs, and the more you buy the more free bags you get. No subscription is required.
Monoprice 15 percent discount with coupon code March, 15
Monoprice is offering up to 15 percent off its merchandise when you use the code MARCH, 15 at checkout, although this sale runs through March 19th. The company makes some of our most popular home office equipment, so it’s worth checking out to see if you need anything.
