Fighting games are a great way to enjoy your games, especially when you play offline with your friends or online with others. There is good news for action fighting gamers. There’s a new Tekken game coming to PlayStation and PC soon. As you can see, Tekken is a premium fighting game that has been around since 1994.
The last Tekken game i.e. Tekken 7 was released in 2015. So you can see the long gap between Tekken 7 and Tekken 8. Let’s get down to business and go straight into everything you need to know about the new Tekken 8 game.
Tekken 8 release date
Tekken 8 was first revealed in September 2022. We saw an reveal trailer for the game, which gave us a very small glimpse of what to expect from the new game. The announcement trailer was unveiled during the Sony State of Play 2022 event. However, during the State of Play trailer, we only got to see stay-tuned text.

Luckily, we’ve seen a full game trailer and gameplay footage of Tekken 8, and we can say that the Tekken 8 release date is set to be anytime in 2024. So yes, there is still some time to wait before you can get your hands on the game. Check out the 2022 announcement trailer here.
Tekken 8: developer and publisher
As you might expect, Tekken 8 is being developed by Bandai Namco Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The same team behind hugely popular games like Digimon World: Next Order, Doraemon, Story of Seasons, Pac-Man, Elden Ring, Little Nightmares II, Project Cars 3 and Dragon Ball Z to name a few.
Tekken 8 Official Game Trailer
Later in 2022, during The Game Awards show taking place in December, the developers of Tekken 8 revealed the official trailer for the game. The trailer is short but action-packed. You will see stories as well as fight scenes between the characters. In this trailer we learn what Tekken 8 will be called. The official trailer for the game ends with text stating Fists Meet Fate. Tekken 8 gameplay trailer
While we all know what to expect from any Tekken game at this point, it’s always fun to see the gameplay for a new game. The developers have also released the gameplay trailer for Tekken 8, although the game’s release date is quite far away. Many developers need to rack up some points and release gameplay footage instead of making fans wait until the release date. The gameplay footage the developers revealed is called Marshall Law.

The gameplay trailer revealed Tekken 8’s new challenger – Marshall Law. The gameplay trailer will show you the different moves applied to the opponent. If we look at the gameplay we can get a good idea of how perfect the graphics are and also the different effects that you will see when you hit your opponent. This gameplay trailer can be described as a tribute to one of the most respected martial artists. Seeing Bruce Lee being added to Tekken 8 has made many fans eagerly await this new game.

Tekken 8: Supported platforms and system requirements
So far, the new Tekken 8 game is slated to release on Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. The PS4 seems to be left out, as is the Xbox One. It seems like the older generation consoles can’t handle this graphics intensive game quite well. Regarding the system requirements for PC users, this information is yet to be announced. To be fair, there is still a long way to go before the game is released. And we can expect such information to be made available during the next State of Play event, to be held later this year.
