Sydney Sweeney heads to Luna Park with friends and co-stars during a break in filming

American actress Sydney Sweeney took a break from her busy film schedule this weekend to visit Luna Park.

The rising star, 25, visited the popular Sydney attraction with her friends and colleagues including Glen Powell, Darren Barnet and Hadley Robinson on Saturday.

She posted a series of photos from her antics about the iconic venue to Instagram on Saturday.

“A fun day at my park with my friends,” she wrote.

Sydney and her group of fans were photographed taking part in a variety of activities including a roller coaster ride and the sights of the city skyline.

She was enjoying spending time with her friends off film set as she donned a summer outfit, sunglasses and a touch of jewellery.

Fellow filmmaker Kate Bosworth gave her seal of approval.

She relived her inner youth after sharing her recommendation of the city.

“Isn’t Sydney the best? I lived there for about a year when I was your age – the best time of my life. Dive in, beauty,” said Kate Bosworth.

“Such a fun day,” said American actor Darren Barnet.

Sydney has seen filming at locations across the city including the inner city suburb of Surry Hills and Double Bay to the east of the city.

The untitled romantic comedy will be filmed in Sydney and will be directed by Will Gluck, who has helmed the romantic comedies Easy A and Friends With Benefits.

Plot details for the R-rated flick are still under wraps, but the film will also star Bryan Brown, Michelle Hurd, Hadley Robinson and Darren Barnet.

The project is expected to generate A$41 million in the local New South Wales economy and create over 440 cast and crew jobs.

The yet-to-be-titled romantic comedy will be filmed near Sydney and will be directed by Will Gluck, who helmed the romantic comedies Easy A and Friends With Benefits; (pictured are Sydney Sweeney and co-star Glen Powell)
