CASINO is directed by Kang Yoon Sung, the director of the 2017 blockbuster THE OUTLAWS, and produced by BA Entertainment, C-Jes Entertainment and Arc Media. Also co-directed by Choi Min Shik, Heo Sung Tae, Kim Joo Ryung, Lee Dong Hwi and Jo Jae Yoon, the 8-episode K-drama chronicles the eventful life of a man who finds success through the casino industry. CASINO will air exclusively on Disney+ worldwide.
The latest film from Spackman Media Group artist Son Suk-ku, THE ROUNDa sequel to THE OUTLAWS, has surpassed 10 million viewers, becoming the first film to reach this milestone since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the Korean Film Council THE ROUND has grossed US$84.5 million with more than 10.5 million tickets at the Korean box office since its May 18 release. The film also achieved the record for most weekends at the Korean box office among films released in 2022 and has pre-sold to 132 countries around the world including Singapore, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and France as well as the Regions of North America and Eastern Europe.
Spackman Media Group’s Son Suk-ku will also star in two upcoming, highly anticipated Netflix Original K-Dramas. DP season 2 and DEADLY TOY. Based on the web toon Day of the DP DOG by Kim Bo-tong, DP tells the story of a team of Korean military police on their mission to capture deserters. The series is directed by Han Jun-hee and co-written by Kim Bo-tong.
Produced by Showbox, DEADLY TOY Stars Son Suk-ku of Spackman Media Group and the film’s Choi Woo-shik PARASITE (2019). The Netflix K-Drama is based on the popular webtoon series of the same name and is scheduled for release in the second half of this year.
