Snyder, Oliver, Soderholm named to VaSID All-State Teams

HARRISONBURG, Va. – Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) released their 2022 varsity all-state football team with VMIs on Tuesday Stone Snyder, AlexOliver and Robert Soderholm everyone makes the list.

A three-time All-American, this is the third straight season that Snyder has been named a VaSID All-State First Team. Snyder led the Southern Conference with 107 tackles and finished the year third in the country with 10.7 tackles per game. The two-time SoCon Defensive Player of the Year collected 11.0 tackles for losses, 4.0 sacks and 3.0 sacks en route to his third straight season in which he was named a Buck Buchanan finalist for Best Defensive Player in FCS Football .0 quarterback hurries.

Oliver, who was called up to the team’s second defense, continued his rise as one of SoCon’s top defenders, finishing in 24th placeth in the country with 10 pass abandonments at the end of the FCS season. Oliver, a junior, earned First Team All-SoCon honors after leading the team in interceptions (three) and fourth in tackles (74.0).

A four-time All-American, Soderholm earned second-team special team honors after handling every snap perfectly for a unit that didn’t concede blocks. A native of Stafford, Virginia, this year was named an All-American by five organizations and will compete in the Reese’s Senior Bowl on February 4th.
