Shawn Mendes opens up about Sabrina Carpenter dating rumors

Shawn Mendes has ended online speculation that he and Sabrina Carpenter are dating.

“We’re not together,” Mendes told Dutch TV channel RTL Boulevard on Friday.

The “Stitches” singer then suggested talking about his partnership with Tommy Hilfiger, “probably more so than Sabrina, but thanks.”

Meanwhile, Carpenter remained closed on the matter and her rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Mendes and Carpenter first sparked romance rumors when celebrity gossip Instagram account Deuxmoi posted a tip last month that they looked “very comfortable” while they were “clearly on a date” at Horses in Los Angeles.

Since then, the two have only fueled speculation.

The Canadian heartthrob, 24, and the “Nonsense” singer, 23, were photographed together at Miley Cyrus’ Endless Summer Vacation album release party in Beverly Hills last week, where they are said to have been driving away together in the same car.

The duo were also spotted in Los Angeles shortly after the Deuxmoi post, running errands together in casual wear.

Prior to Carpenter, Mendes had been romantically involved with his 51-year-old chiropractor, Dr. Jocelyne Miranda connected.

The pair were even snapped last month showing off their fit bodies on a hike together in Runyon Canyon Park in Los Angeles just days before his errand trip with Carpenter.

Mendes hasn’t publicly dated anyone since splitting from Camila Cabello in November 2021 after two years together.

“Hey guys, we have decided to end our romantic relationship, but our love for each other as people is stronger than ever,” the “Havana” singer and Mendes wrote in a joint statement at the time.

Meanwhile, Carpenter was romantically linked to Dylan O’Brien last September after he had a tumultuous “situation” with High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ Joshua Basset.
