New The Lightning Season 9 set photos tease the return of some surprising characters in a time travel scenario. The Arrowverse is preparing to bid farewell to the franchise’s longest-running series after nearly a decade. The Lightning Season 9 will officially end the show. Grant Gustin will be back as Barry Allen for another season when he retires as The CW’s Scarlet Speedster. By the time The Lightning Season 9 ends, it will have aired for 184 episodes. The final season is currently filming in Vancouver, Canada and is scheduled to wrap up in March.


Since filming has been underway since last fall, plenty The Lightning Season 9 set photos and videos have surfaced online. Production is currently working on episode 10 which will be directed The Lightning Showrunner Eric Wallace.

In new set pictures from candagraphs (about @ToDoFlash), the outlet got its first look at John Wesley Shipp and Michelle Harrison The Lightning Season 9. However, instead of playing Jay Garrick and Joan Williams, the duo is back as Barry’s parents, Henry and Nora Allen instead. Another shot sees Gustin passing out, with Henry and Nora looking like they’re trying to help him. Given that Barry is with his late parents, Episode 10 may appear to involve some time travel.

While not much is known about Episode 10, The CW has confirmed several story details for The Lightning Season 9. Loud The Lightning Season 9 Synopsis, Barry and Iris will be “Reconnecting and growing closer together than ever before.” When a group of villains band together under the leadership of a new threat, Team Flash will face a handful of problems. The mysterious enemy will most likely be Red Death, which is played by Batwoman Javicia Leslie as an alternate against Ryan Wilder. Leslie will also play her regular version of the Batwoman Heroine.

There will also be another enemy that will appear later in the season, likely tying into the Blue Crystal mystery The Lightning Season 8 finale. Episode 9 will be an important one for The Lightning Season 9 as several Arrowverse heroes return for the episode. Arrow‘s Stephen Amell and David Ramsey will reprise the roles of Green Arrow and John Diggle. Kid Flash, played by Keiynan Lonsdale, will be in as well as the former guest cast member The Lightning big bad blood count. A separate episode will also be shown super girl‘s Dreamer eventually shows up to team up with Iris West-Allen.

There is also the mysterious case of Caitlin Snow as her condition after the fallout is unknown The Lightning Season 8 finale. After attempting to revive Killer Frost, Caitlin’s fate was left ambiguous after attempting to use her consciousness resurrection machine. The Lightning Season 9 will definitely be a bittersweet moment for the Arrowverse. The Lightning will be the last Earth Prime-based series in the franchise since then Superman & Lois takes place on an alternate Arrowverse Earth. With less than a month until then The Lightning Season 9 premieres, the final run for the fastest man alive is about to begin.
