In case you didn’t know, a multilevel marketing company (aka MLM) is a company that emphasizes both direct selling and recruiting other people to join the company and work under you, so you get a percentage of the profits too obtained from the inventory they can buy and sell.
MLMs have been around for what feels like forever. One of the most well-known MLMs is LuLaRoe, a leggings company that has had its fair share of scandals over the past few years, ultimately having to pay over $4 million to settle a lawsuit alleging it was running a pyramid scheme*. But believe me, there are many others out there!
Because of the pressure MLMs put on their salespeople to sell inventory and hire more people, marketing tactics can sometimes be… a lot. And that’s why they are sometimes asked about it. Here is the proof:
1.
When this MLMer and alleged hairdresser tried to make a sales pitch and this person DID NOT have it:
2.
When this MLM’er forgot to delete *insert name here* and also forgot that he bullied this person in high school:
3.
When this person received a message from an MLM’er and let the articles do the talking:
4.
When that MLM’er posted that…
…and was absolutely gutted by this person in the comments:
5.
When this person asked a very valid question:
6.
When this person stopped the Advisor train right in its tracks:
7.
When this coffee shop got fed up with MLM folks turning their customers away, they took matters into their own hands:
8th.
When this person called their doctor’s office about shillings from MLM products:
9.
When this person called a nurse about trying to sell her an MLM while waking up from surgery:
10
When this person accidentally roasted their cousin for posting spam MLM content, thinking their account was hacked:
11.
When this person experienced what I can only assume is extreme HIPAA violation and (rightfully) blew up this MLM’er about it:
12.
When this person got a sales pitch and managed to say, “Get out of here” in the nicest possible way:
13.
When even the AI wasn’t done with the MLM sales model:
14
When an MLMer refused to give his company’s name and this person saw through him:
15
And finally, when this person kept it short and sweet:
