Riley Keough poses with War Pony co-director Gina Gammell at SXSW… amid the latest Presley drama

Riley Keough was pictured with her War Pony co-director Gina Gammell at the film’s North American premiere at SXSW on Thursday, held at the Paramount Theater in Austin, Texas.
The 33-year-old actress/filmmaker wore a deep V-neck dress with long sleeves and gold bracelets for the film’s debut, which tells the “interlocking stories of two young Oglala Lakota men growing up on the Pine Ridge Reservation.” according to a summary.
Keough – the granddaughter of the late Elvis Presley and daughter of the late Lisa Marie Presley – wore her auburn locks down and parted with gold earrings at the screening, where she posed alongside Gammell, her collaborator on the project.
Gammell wore a cotton bijou check ensemble of a short-sleeved shirt and baggy pants with tan sandals.
The creative, who has worked on projects like Manodrome and Welcome the Stranger in the past, wore her wavy brown locks down and parted with hoop earrings at the film event.

The latest: Riley Keough, 33, was pictured with her War Pony co-director Gina Gammell at the film’s North American premiere at SXSW on Thursday at the Paramount Theater in Austin, Texas
The performance comes after the film’s U.S. and Canadian rights were acquired by Momentum Pictures, Deadline reported Wednesday.
Keough and Gammell’s offer comes after War Pony premiered the film to a global audience in Un Certain Regard at the Cannes Film Festival last May and won the Camera d’Or award (for Best First Feature).
Keough has been in the headlines lately amid an ongoing argument with grandmother Priscilla Presley over her late mother Lisa Marie Presley’s will.
The actress lost her mother after suffering cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, California in January.
The falling out with Priscilla stemmed from both Keough and her brother Benjamin being appointed trustees of Lisa Marie’s estate in 2016 after she was the sole trustee for years.
Benjamin committed suicide in 2020, meaning the assets now belong to Keough. Priscilla denies the 2016 amendment and has questioned the authenticity of her late daughter’s signatures on the document.
The family enmity continued in a Los Angeles court this week when Lisa Marie’s ex-husband Michael Lockwood, 61, was awarded full custody of their twin daughters Harper and Finley, 14, following their deaths aged 54.
Lockwood spent seven years in a contentious custody battle with Lisa Marie, who Riley sided with as she was upset that she was losing time with her half-sisters to him.

Priscilla has been amenable to Lockwood in light of recent developments as she tries to “be a part of her grandchildren’s lives,” a source told People last month.
Keough has also been busy promoting her new 10-part Amazon Prime miniseries Daisy Jones and The Six, which focuses on the 1970s Los Angeles music scene and is loosely inspired by Fleetwood Mac.
The show follows the rise of rock band Daisy Jones and The Six through the ’70s LA music scene on their quest for global icon status.
The series is based on the New York Times bestseller and also stars Suki Waterhouse, Camila Morrone, Sam Claflin, Sebastian Chacon, Josh Whitehouse, Nabiyah Be and Tom Wright.
The series will feature 24 original songs written exclusively for the series and recorded by the cast. The original music will be released by Atlantic Records during the launch of the series.
The series will premiere on March 3, with new episodes releasing every Friday through March 24.
