Nike is ready to welcome another fresh iteration of the Nike Air Foamposite One silhouette. Penny Hardaway’s signature shoe will appear in black and white makeup for the latest makeover, dubbed ‘Dream a World’.
The Nike Air Foamposite One “Dream A World” shoes will be available on March 31, 2023 at Nike SNRKS and some online and physical stores. The retail price of the men’s size item is $250.

Before LeBron James and Kobe Bryant, one of the most popular lineups was the Nike Penny Hardaway series. It has established itself as a cornerstone of Nike Hoop heritage, keeping up with the competition from the contemporary wave of signature footwear.
Penny Hardaway had numerous pairs of sneakers throughout his career, but only four of them bore his name; The fifth model was released after his retirement.
Both players and Nike fans were no doubt intrigued by the unveiling of the distinctive Nike Air Foamposite One in 1997. Ten years later, due to their popularity, they were eventually upgraded, and the current release of new colors continues.
The Nike Air Foamposite One still has the look of a futuristic shoe. It’s shocking because the silhouette didn’t exist 25 years ago, in 1997, when traditional materials ruled the performance basketball market.
With the Air Force 1 and Air Max 1 both celebrating their 40th and 35th birthdays, respectively, this significant anniversary hasn’t received much attention. However, in 2023 a new color variant of the model inspired by endurance will be released. The Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Dream A World’ has been released and is strikingly similar to the ‘Anthracite’ color blocking.
The description of the latest paint job on the SNRKS website reads:
“Dream a world, then make it happen in this bold take on the iconic ’90s basketball shoe. The fully washed graphic reinterprets its futuristic fluid look and delivers an aged aesthetic full of grain.”
It goes on to say
“The time-warping juxtaposition continues, shifting the modernism of the original against vintage-inspired pigskin accents and swirling white dashes to create a classic interpretation of new meets old. A hidden quote brings it all together and shows you’re ready for the journey through this landscape of beauty and chaos, preparation and possibility.”
The distinctive Foamposite material takes on a stealthy black throughout the sneaker, while the white brushstroke elements give the colorway a slightly marbled appearance. The tongue and laces and eyelets all feature black-on-black accents, and even the Penny Hardaway insignia on the heels are all-black.
Inside the shoe, on the insole, is a well-known statement by Lucius Seneca that reads, “Happiness/success comes when preparedness meets chance.” The words “Dream A World” are written all over the box, while the same text also can be seen on the paper in the shoe box.
The black rubber outsole and the carbon fiber midsole with white brushstroke elements round off the overall look of the sneakers themselves.
