Princess Charlotte has a sweet reaction after noticing Prince William on stage at the coronation concert

Princess Charlotte had the sweetest reaction when she noticed her father, the Prince of Wales, taking the stage during the coronation concert.

The extravagant concert took place at Windsor Castle on Sunday (May 7) in honor of King Charles III. and Queen Camilla, the day after the coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey. The coronation concert featured a star-studded cast of artists, from Lionel Richie to Katy Perry.

However, it seems Princess Charlotte was most excited when her father appeared on stage to address thousands of concert-goers.

As Prince William took the stage to pay a touching tribute to his own father, the eight-year-old royal immediately stopped waving her Union Jack flag and pointed to her father. Charlotte also appeared to inform her older brother, Prince George, who was sitting next to her, that William was on stage.

Meanwhile, Kate Middleton clapped as William took center stage. To the cheers of the crowd, he began his speech by saying, “Good evening, Your Majesties.” Speaking to a crowd of 20,000 on Windsor Castle’s East Lawn, William took the opportunity to praise King Charles’ commitment to the Crown and his environmental and charity work.

He also highlighted the Prince’s Trust, founded by his father, which he said has “supported over a million young people, many from disadvantaged backgrounds, to achieve their aspirations”.

The heir to the throne also made a sweet reference to his late grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, adding, “I know she’s up there keeping a loving eye on us.”

“She would be a very proud mother.”

While Princess Charlotte was delighted to see her father on stage, it was a surprise performance by Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy from the Muppets that managed to get the young royals giggling. The hilarious sketch, in which the Muppet characters asked to be shown their seats in the King’s Box, elicited smiles and laughter from Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who watched the coronation concert with their parents from the stands.

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ youngest child, Prince Louis, was sadly absent from the celebrations. Although the five-year-old royal stole the show again at his grandfather’s coronation on Saturday, it was likely that he was absent from the concert due to his late nature.

The Waleses also won hearts during the coronation service when Charlotte and Louis were seen holding hands as they entered Westminster Abbey. One fan called the moment “absolutely precious,” while another said, “This is adorable.”
