A well-known Pokemon leaker compares Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s past and future themes to Buddhism, hinting at the third Legendary.
Exactly five months have passed since then Pokemon Scarlet and Violet were first revealed during the Pokemon Day Direct, with The Pokemon Company releasing a live-action trailer that also included several footage from the games. However, in the months since the reveal, there has only been one trailer showcasing Gen9’s new co-op feature, along with three new early Route creatures, and then the two box Legendaries for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. These Pokémon are called Koraidon and Miraidon, with the former representing the ancient themes of Pokemon Scarletand the latter shows the futuristic themes of Pokemon Violet.
Since its initial reveal, many have Pokemon Fans began to believe there would be a third legendary creature Pokemon Scarlet and Violet who instead embodied the themes of the present. This theory was later partially dismissed by a leaker who allegedly gained access to an early copy of the games, stating that there would be no third Legendary at all. However, recent tweets from another leaker who has a proven track record for Pokemon Games called Riddler Khu seem to say otherwise.
Although Khu mentioned that they would stop disclosing information, new tweets are all about three Buddhas and how they are key to understanding the concepts of Titan, the codename for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. In fact, one of the tweets mentions three different Buddhas: the first is Burning Lamp Buddha (aka Dingguang Buddha), the second is Shakyamuni Buddha, and the third is Maitreya Buddha. Burning Lamp Buddha is considered the Buddha of the past and preceded Shakyamuni Buddha, while Maitreya Buddha is the Buddha of the future.
Therefore, it’s possible that Riddler Khu is suggesting that there will actually be a third Legendary Pokemon Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, representing the present. Because it’s hard to imagine modernity Pokemon Playing without a third Legendary, Khu’s clues are very believable, but the truth may lie somewhere in the middle. In fact, it’s possible that the third Legendary for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will not be part of the base games but could be introduced with Gen 9’s rumored DLC.
Khu is the same leaker that was talked about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet‘s grass/fire type Pokémon and Pawmi evolutions, and they also leaked the typings of the three starter evolutions. As such, there’s a chance that the third Legendary for Gen 9 will actually be there, albeit not exactly when players are expecting it.
