Pierce Brosnan is confronted by activists at a seafood restaurant
Pierce Brosnan was confronted with vegan activists while dining with his wife at a high-end seafood restaurant.
The James Bond star was dining at London’s renowned Scott’s restaurant in Mayfair when it was occupied by the Animal Rebellion protest movement – which operates in alliance with climate change protesters Extinction Rebellion – and were hosting a sit-in at the venue.
Animal Rebellion posted a video of Brosnan, 69, on their Twitter account with the James Bond theme song playing in the background.
An activist could be seen speaking to the actor, while in another part of the video someone could be heard shouting “James Bond” at the actor in the background of the footage while a hand was placed in front of their camera.

Brosnan dined with his wife, 59-year-old journalist Keely Shae Smith.
He is currently in the UK shooting new film The Four Letters Of Love in Northern Ireland.
Police were called to the restaurant and footage shows protesters being carried out of the venue while seated on chairs.
The group said the protest was staged in solidarity with member Emma Smart, who was found not guilty after her arrest for approaching Sir David Attenborough when he dined at Catch At The Old Fish Market fish restaurant in Weymouth in November 2022.
The protesters wanted to highlight the impact of the fishing industry on climate change.
Activist Louisa Hillwood, a 28-year-old elementary school teacher, said: “We are peacefully occupying tables at Scott’s to make a definitive statement that no seafood is sustainable.
“Restaurants like this are symbols of terrible inequality, whether it’s the cost of living crisis, the climate emergency, or the animal emergency.
“We know that transitioning to a plant-based food system would help fishing communities find sustainable jobs while providing abundant, affordable and nutritious food, not to mention the benefits of marine rewilding.”
Emma Smart, 45, was arrested at a Michelin-starred fish restaurant in Dorset last year after trying to deliver a letter to environmentalist Attenborough while he was dining there.
She was acquitted by Poole Magistrates Court on Friday March 17 of breaching a Section 35 Household Order.

Footage of the incident showed her repeatedly shouting, “David Attenborough, my name is Emma Smart, I’m a scientist” before being “dragged out” by police officers and the restaurant owner.
