New Trailer Shows Off The New Engine For Upcoming Horrorpunk RPG Morbid: The Lords Of Ire [Watch]

Announced last month as a sequel to their “horrorpunk” RPG Morbid: The Seven AcolytesMerge Games and developer Still Running have released a new “Spotlight” trailer for Morbid: The Lords of Wrath.
With Simo TalasrantaWriter/composer/sound designer at Still Running, the trailer walks fans through the inspirations that prompted developers to make the switch The Seven Acolytes pixel-based gameplay in a new 3D format for The Lords of Wrath, and what players can expect from this new title. In addition to the blood, of course.
The story sees the antagonists from the first game, the Gahars, come back once more. It’s up to you, Dibrom’s nerd, to stop them again. You must once again slash and rob your way through a tortured world of Lovecraftian horrors and Cronenberg blood, in which you are the outsider.
You’ll fight your way through the five worlds of Ire – sickening horror-punk realms populated by five unique factions, from wintry mountains to rotten cities and beyond. Expel the five fallen Lords of Ire and banish the Gahars.
With an improved version of The Seven Acolytes Sanity System players experience a dynamic adventure Morbid: The Lords of Wrath that bends and shapes around your actions. Sanity affects how enemies react to you while providing specific benefits based on your actions to offer a new, dynamic way to experience the world of Morbid.
Morbid: The Lords of Wrath should arrive 2023 on Steam.
