Netflix’s Perfect Match: Why I had a blast watching the messy dating show…especially as a love is blind fan

SPOILERS ahead Perfect match And love is blindis now streaming with a Netflix subscription.
Aside from my time on Bachelor Nation a few years ago, I’ve long been someone who doesn’t participate in the reality show world. I’ve never seen an episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians, Jersey Shore or Real housewivesbut Netflix love is blind really got me under control lately. And apparently it’s just the gateway drug to a whole universe of reality dating shows that I’ve watched now Perfect match. Despite the series crossing of candidates like The circle, Too hot to touch (which I have yet to devour), along with familiar faces love is blindI had a great time following the show week in and week out.
I was a pious love is blind Fan, but that’s about it with the large selection of Netflix dating shows. I find the experiment of finding your potential life partner by talking through a wall fascinating, whether it collapses and burns or turns into a real love story. Perfect match I was casually drawn to the awareness that some of the previous participants would be in a different atmosphere than love is blindbut I will break down the reasons why Perfect match I had so much fun and ended up exceeding my expectations.
It’s a light-hearted and playful departure from Love Is Blind
Now love is blind is a good time, don’t get me wrong, but there’s some tension in the fact that the contestants are preparing to sign on to the TV show for life with their chosen partners. Input Perfect match. This show is a non-binding vacation from love is blind without meeting parents, living together, or saying “yes,” and I loved the move to a more light-hearted and playful dating streak. Everyone on the show talked as if they wanted to find their eternal person, but as the results show, not a single couple makes it (via Cosmopolitan) After it ended they were all there for a good time, not long and honestly I was ready for this trip.
So many of these dating shows hanging by a thread of couples getting together and expecting to stay together after a few short weeks, it was a lot of fun to see each of the contestants engage with numerous throughout the season Pairings really plays out on the field and strategies develops their place in the series. As I have observed love is blind Over the years and seen fewer couples are actually saying “I do” more than ever, it feels like the show is fake, but Perfect match allows the love is blind Stars being the reality stars they are and it was refreshing to see.
Season 2’s Shayne finds himself caught in the middle of two love triangles
Here is the love is blind participants who attended Perfect match Season 1: Damien Powers, Lauren “LC” Chamblin and Diamond Jack from Season 1, Shayne Jansen from Season 2 and Bartise Bowden from Season 3. Each of them had very different roles to play Perfect match, but I appreciated that the series chose people with very different journeys for the marriage experiment. The decision to invite Shayne and Bartise was probably the wisest of all. Let me start with Shayne.
Shayne is a goofy guy who has a mess about him, if only because he’s clearly an emotional gentleman. Things didn’t work out for him love is blindbut I cheered him on Perfect match and his bow on the show was super juicy. The guy was part of not one but two Love triangles on the show, first when he started dating Inez while Nick liked her too, and then when sparks flew between him and Chloe, only for her ex Mitchell to get in the way later. I found what happened to Shayne particularly interesting because it showed that his breakup happened in the finale love is blind how going into his next relationship really affected him. One does not immediately heal from being left at the altar, and as a love is blind Fan, I’m actually glad this POV was tackled after wondering if they were unscathed by such a hurricane experience. Netflix should consider paying for his therapy!
Season 3’s Bartise gets called by a lot more women
Then there’s the other side of the coin with Bartise. Last season, after a pretty tumultuous relationship between the two, Bartise was the one who said “I don’t want to” to Nancy when I got away with thinking maybe Bartise wasn’t ready to be a husband yet. Now in Perfect match, Bartise literally couldn’t stay with one woman for more than a few episodes. He came across as charming and found a connection with one woman only to get fired on a whim for another, and Izzy and Abbey both received a severe flogging.
I imagine Nancy can watch this show and feel confident that the show made the right decision after all because her ex continued to struggle Perfect match. Obviously everyone here is human and has their own dating journeys so no shadow but was entertaining to watch one of these love is blindHis most controversial candidates continue what he started on another platform and, most importantly, are being challenged by more women.
It got me hooked for other Netflix dating shows I haven’t seen
When it comes to the other love is blind Callbacks, it was less eventful (but still welcome) for me. But all in all, Perfect match opened my eyes to a universe of dating shows that Netflix has, and maybe opened my eyes to reality TV that doesn’t lead to moments at the altar. get to know personalities Too hot to touch or The circle without seeing the show first made me realize that I might have denied myself more content from non-wedding dating shows.
Honestly, as someone who watches a lot of movies and TV shows, it’s so much fun to decompress with relationship drama and a friendship dating competition. Yes… I get reality TV now.
