Netflix viewers are asking the platform not to scrap Shadow and Bone as it becomes number one worldwide
fans of shadow and bone are asking Netflix not to cancel it after it has become the biggest show on the streaming platform. Here’s the trailer for series two in case you’re looking for something new to get your head around:
Not that Penn Badgley and company will care, they’ve had a good run at the top of the charts.
Now there’s a new number one on the “Most Viewed” chart list, and that’s it shadow and bone.
The second series wasn’t released until March 16, but fans have already been watching and can’t wait for a third series to come.
Of course, as it’s based on a series of books, fans are also aware that there’s a lot more to come.
The series tells the story of Alina Starkov, an orphaned cartographer in the First Army of the fictional Ravka nation.
She finds out that she has a number of special gifts and is also the fulfillment of a prophecy about her universe.
As is usual with things like this, we haven’t made a final decision on whether the show will go ahead, but as long as a show is doing well, people watch and enjoy it, and – crucially – make money, they pretty much can bet it will continue.
The campaign to keep the shadow and bone The train started rolling on Twitter, with one fan writing: “I’m done [Shadow and Bone season two] and just wow.
“The last episode was complete and total chaos, they really threw in every plot but I’m sooo here for it.
“Plz plz @netflix renew @shadowandbone_ bc I need more of this in my life.”
Another person made this conservative appeal: “PLS PLS PLS RENEW SHADOW AND BONE I WILL DIE IF YOU DON’T MAKE NETFLIX PLS.”
OK, it’s not that serious.
But that gives a small impression of how strong the feeling is that some viewers have towards the show.
“I need season 3 of shadow and bone so bad they had better renew it,” begged another.
“Season 2 is AMAZING AND I NEED @netflix TO EXTEND SEASON THREE NOW,” urged one of the show’s henchmen.
It remains to be seen if Netflix will heed fans’ calls and innovate, but given the series’ success to date, one wouldn’t resist.
