Netflix top movies and shows: What's trending on August 5, 2022

It’s been really fascinating, and even refreshing in some ways, to see how many older movie favorites have proven successful in this week’s Netflix Top 10, even as subscribers have to choose from how many new Netflix original movies each week. However, today – Friday 5th August 2022 – my favorite new development of this phenomenon sees a blockbuster classic that I’ve been hoping to make the top 10 films in the US since its most recent addition to the platform went live . Let’s talk about those, along with what else is on the list and the top 10 TV shows in the US, in our latest breakdown of what’s trending on Netflix (opens in new tab) today.

Top 10 Movies on Netflix in the US – August 5, 2022

Finally, men in black 3 — which actually jumped from yesterday to fifth below The gray man — is no longer the only installment in the sci-fi comedy franchise in the top 10 Netflix movies after the brilliant 1997 original debuted at the top of the list in ninth place Spiderman 2. Meanwhile Netflix purple hearts2011 tower robberyand the romantic fantasy led by Blake Lively The Age of Adaline still dominate the top three during Illumination’s singing 2 remains in sixth place. Appears directly above director Clint Eastwood’s The 15:17 to Paris – who debuted at the bottom yesterday before jumping to eighth today – is another newcomer named wedding season: a Netflix Original romantic comedy starring Pallavi Sharda and Life of Pi: Shipwreck with Tiger star and How I met your father Actor Suraj Sharma.

Top 10 TV shows on Netflix in the US – August 5, 2022

While there were many exciting developments to report in the list of popular movies above, I unfortunately can’t say the same about the top 10 Netflix TV shows, which – for the second time this week according to our August 3 results – are identical with the are order from the previous day. Feel-good romance Virgin River still stands at the top of the intense survival drama keep breathingsuspenseful sci-fi drama stranger thingschaotic concert documentaries Train wreck: Woodstock ’99and disconnected with Neil Patrick Harris. The latest episodes of South Korean import Associate Attorney Woo still dominate the bottom half of the list, which is also occupied by History Channels (in the following order). Alonetwisted true crime docuseries The most hated man on the internetcar renovation show Car Masters: From Rust to Richesand teenage sports spin-off All American: homecoming.
