The end is near for stranger things Friday marks the start of the fourth season of the hit Netflix show, but the cast aren’t quite ready to say goodbye just yet.

“It’s too early to look back,” said Natalia Dyer, who plays Nancy Wheeler Yahoo Canadaand added that it was particularly striking to look back at the show’s physical and stylistic evolution over the years.

“One of the funniest things as an actor on the show, it’s such an ensemble cast, and I think all of these characters are so specific that seeing the different combinations and working with different people…is just the dynamic between Nancy and everyone else.” I’m always very curious.”

“It’s just crazy looking back,” added Joe Keery, who plays Steve Harrington, recalling the early scenes with Dyer in her character’s yolk-walled bedroom.

What is Stranger Things Season 4 about?

stranger things Season 4 begins six months after the Battle of Starcourt that led to this group of friends being separated for the first time, starring Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton), and Joyce Byers ( Winona Ryder) now lives in Lenora, California. Eleven, Will, Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin), Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) and Dustin Henderson (Gate Matarazzo) have started high school and tensions build as they get older and start finding different interests.

In the midst of these growing pains, a supernatural mystery emerges within Hawkins, bringing the group back together but also revealing more of Upside Down’s horrors.

“I was just so happy that I got to come back and that I got to come back and continue working with him [Joe Keery] and [Natalia Dyer] and these guys,” said Maya Hawke, who plays Robin Yahoo Canada. “Maintaining an old relationship and building new ones has been really, really fun.”

“Some of those dialogue scenes right at the beginning, I’m a sucker for that. I love everything else, but as an actor it’s just so much fun. There are some really great one-ers that just kind of mess up everyone… that really gets me excited.”

Joe Keery added that he was particularly looking forward to developing Steve and Robin’s friendship further in Season 4 of the show, especially after we stopped in Season 3.

“Now we’re kind of in that place of comfort and it’s fun to play that at the beginning of the show,” he added.

Aside from our old favourites, stranger things continues to expand the cast to the end, with Joseph Quinn as Eddie, an older high school student and leader of The Hellfire Club, a Hawkins High School Dungeons and Dragons group that includes teens Will, Lucas, and Dustin who quickly gets into implicated the supernatural terrors of Hawkins.

“I was just excited to be able to explore everything in this world and to have the opportunity to come and participate,” he said. “Of course I’m even happier to work with these people.”

“You know, you never know who you’ll be thrown with, and needless to say I’ve struck gold here.”

Volume 1 of Stranger Things launches May 27th, Volume 2 launches July 1st on Netflix
