Pokemon GO is more than a simple catch ’em all running simulator. This mobile game has features for all types of players, from competitive battle leagues to mega Pokémon raids. And aside from completing the Pokedex, completers are tasked with obtaining unique medals that grant minor buffs to their account. But Coaches looking to earn all of those medals should know which ones are the most challenging.

Trading is an integral part of the Pokemon gaming community as it allowed players to complete Pokedex from any region. Additionally, some Pokémon evolve exclusively after trading, such as Poliwhirl, Kadabra, and Machoke. But exchange Pokemon GO is a bit trickier as trainers have to meet certain requirements.

First and foremost, players must be friends with the other player and be physically close to them in order to start trading (limited to 101 trades per day). Trainers also have to pay a certain amount of Stardust (how much depends on their friend level), which means trading can get quite expensive. Because of this, the Gentleman’s Medal is one of the most difficult to obtain, as it requires players to trade 2,500 times to unlock it.

6 pilot

  • 1,000,000 KM earned over the distance from Pokemon trades

If completing 2,500 trades wasn’t hard enough, medal completers will have an even harder time getting the Pilot’s Medal as they have to collect 1,000,000 trade kilometers. Of course, Pokemon GO does not take into account the trading distance between trainers (limited to 100 meters), but rather the location where the player originally caught the Pokémon.

For example, if the trainer caught the Pokémon in Spain and trades a Pokémon caught in the United States, it should reach a trade distance of 7,000km (approximately). As players will find, reaching the 1,000,000 mark will take time and many trades. Players should keep an eye out for special trade events as they will remove certain trade requirements.

  • Earn Wayfarer 1,500 agreements

Although Pokemon GO is Niantic’s most successful game, penetration was their first AR-style game, laying the foundation for the game mechanics found in Pokemon GO. And in penetration, players could create waypoints (similar to PokeStops or Arenas) via the Wayfarer program. Trainers looking to create a PokeStop or Gym must use the Wayfarer program, but accessing this program isn’t easy.

Players must reach level 38 and pass a test before being eligible to use the Wayfarer program. But to earn the Wayfarer Medal, players must complete 1,500 Wayfarer Agreements. This means players must vote (for or against) PokeStops or Gyms, and their vote must have a majority of the other Wayfarers.

4 Master League Veteran

  • Win 1,000 Trainer Battles in Master League

Most players avoid participating in the PvP aspect Pokemon GO as it involves leveling up the current meta Pokemon and fighting hundreds of other players in real-time battles. and Pokemon GO is gradually evolving into a game worthy of the Pokemon World Cup, so players can expect stiff competition.

Because of this, earning the Master League Veteran Medal is among the toughest of medals, as it involves battling hundreds of different trainers with no restrictions. This means players will have to battle perfect IV Pokemon teams that are all maxed out, which can be frustrating at times.

  • Purified 1,000 Shadow Pokémon

The Purifier Medal seems easy to get, but in reality, players will have to spend thousands of Stardust and earn hundreds of Candy to complete it. And that’s because the cost of purifying a Pokemon varies, ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 Stardust. In addition, players must acquire a certain amount of candies (between 3 and 5) in order to purify the Pokemon.

But perhaps the most challenging aspect of this medal is battling 1,000 Team Rocket Grunts/Leaders to catch the Shadow Pokémon. Luckily, most of Team Rocket’s grunts and leaders are easy to beat with the right team build.

2 successor

  • Mega Evolution of 1,000 Pokemon

When Nintendo added Mega Evolution to the Pokemon universe, some players were upset as it made the PvP aspect of the game series more difficult. Nonetheless, most players enjoy Mega Evolving their Pokemon as it opens up more variety in the competitive world. Fortunately, Mega Evolutions are not allowed in PvP Trainer Battles Pokemon GObut it’s not easy to get one either.

And that’s because players need to battle and defeat Mega Pokémon in raids to get 45 Mega Energy. So players who want to get the Successor Medal must be ready to complete hundreds of Mega Raids, especially since each Pokemon requires 200 Mega Energy to evolve.

1 Unknown medal

Undoubtedly the hardest medal to get Pokemon GO is the unknown medal. The main reason is that Unknowns are among the rarest Pokemon to spawn in Pokemon GO, no matter what time or place. And to top it off, players have to catch everything 26 unique unknowns to acquire the medal, which makes it even more difficult due to the low spawn rates.

Luckily, Niantic has created in-game events that increase the spawn rate of unknowns, but even then, players struggle to catch all 26 unique ones. So the “fastest” way to complete this medal is to search for trainers with unknowns, but players must be physically close to them.
