The MIDI Association says they have been working intensively behind the scenes over the past year and are ready to present the results and launch a series of events leading up to NAMM show in June. Here is their press release with all the details…
It all starts on Saturday, May 21, celebrating May is MIDI Month with a music education webinar with Craig Anderton, who has performed at Carnegie Hall, written 45 books on music technology, and lectured worldwide for more than four decades. Tune in to the MIDI Innovation Awards Show hosted by acclaimed synthesizer and BBC Click presenter LJ Rich on Saturday 28th May. A panel of judges from the music and technology sectors will review and select winners in multiple categories from a compelling array of MIA finalists. Then join us at the NAMM Show June 2-5 at the Anaheim Convention Center, where more than 35 MIDI Association member manufacturers will be exhibiting. The MIDI Zone, located just inside the Hall A entrance, houses not only the main MIDI Association booth (10300), but also Studio 108 and the MIDI Zone Lounge (Booth 10203).
Also at the show, the MIDI Association will partner with A3E, the music and entertainment technology developer group, for a number of forward-thinking educational events including:

And one of the hottest tickets at NAMM is an invitation from the MIDI Association, A3E and NAMM to a cocktail reception on June 4th at 5pm in Room 202A with a live performance by Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater). , and the presentation ceremonies of the MIDI Innovation Awards.
