BABSON PARK, Mass.— The 20th-ranked Babson College men’s tennis program celebrated Seniors’ Day on Sunday as five seniors recorded victories in both singles and doubles, beating Emerson College 9-0 in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) game of the Babson tennis complex.

With the win, Babson recorded his ninth straight win, improving to 11-1 overall and 2-1 in NEWMAC games, while Emerson is winless in both overall (0-5) and conference play (0-4).

Seniors Parker Law (White Bear Lake, Minn.), Maxwell Conlin (Alameda, California) Jack McDonald (Hilton Head Island, South Carolina), James Burdick (Austin, Texas) and Jett Hampton (Lakeway, Texas) were all doubles winners for the Beavers. classmate Jason Weissman (Claremont, California) was also a doubles winner and a graduate student Brooks Green (Mobile, Ala.) wrapped up the sweep with a win in early singles.

The Beavers had no trouble taking a 3-0 lead in doubles. MacDonald and Hampton recorded an 8-0 win on the second flight, followed by Law and Burdick in third place, 8-1, and Conlin and Weisman in first place, 8-3.

MacDonald was the first to defeat his opponent 6-0, 6-0 in the third singles, followed by Hampton in the fifth flight, 6-3, 6-0. Green continued the winning streak with a 6-2, 6-0 Staying in first place, Burdick added a 6-1, 6-2 judgment in sixth place, Conlin won 6-2, 6-0 in second place and Law finished it off with a 6-1, 6-2 decision in second place four.

The Beavers continue the NEWMAC game Wednesday with a match at Wheaton at 4 p.m. in Norton, Mass.

GAME NOTES
• Babson is 11-0 all-time against Emerson in a streak dating back to 2008.
• The Beavers are 44-1 in the regular season against NEWMAC opponents other than MIT, dating back to 2013 and notching 25 9-0 wins.
