

Top Gun: Maverick at the Canton Palace Theatre
The mega-hit Top Gun: Maverick will be shown on the giant screen of the Canton Palace Theater on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The 2022 version, starring Tom Cruise in a sequel to the original 1986 release of Top Gun, is part of the Palace Theatre’s 2023 Award nominated film series. Rated PG-13, the film runs for two hours and 10 minutes.
Doors open 30 minutes before the shows at 7:30pm. Tickets cost $7 and are only available at the box office. The Palace Theater is located at 605 Market Ave. N in downtown Canton.
Canton Symphony plays The Bangles, George Michael
The Canton Symphony Orchestra will enter the music time machine on February 4 with an 80’s themed concert.
London-based Jeans ‘n Classics will combine their rock band format with the local symphony to perform “The Amazing ’80s!” while performing classic pop songs by Tears for Fears, Prince, Heart, Bananarama, The B-52’s and other musicians.

“Massacre of St. Valentino” at the Roxy Theater in Minerva
“St. Valentino’s Massacre” will be performed at the Roxy Theater, 114 N Market St. in Minerva on February 4th.
The Minerva Area Chamber of Commerce presents the Dinner Theater Show in aid of the Roxy Theater. Professional acting company Floriano Productions will perform.
Set in the 1920s, the play tells the story of the world premiere of the fictional new silent film, Silent Floozy, starring married couple Valentino Giuliani and Lacy LaRue.
Dinner includes baked parmesan chicken breasts, pulled pork, redskin potatoes, green beans, tossed salad and dessert. There will be a cash bar. Doors open one hour before the 7pm show.

Beatletfest in Kent with Hard Day’s Night
At the ninth annual Kent Beatlefest, acclaimed Beatles tribute band Hard Day’s Night will perform on February 17th at the Kent Stage, 175 E Main St.
The popular “Fab Four” act performs for free at the all-ages event. Hard Day’s Night plays classic Beatles songs with period instruments and outfits.
The concert is part of a free Beatles-themed celebration featuring live music at multiple venues in central Kent. Visit https://www.kentbeatlefest.com/ for more information and a schedule.

SOUL at KSU Tusc with songs by Carole King, Ray Charles
Nashville-based musician Heidi Burson will sing iconic songs as part of SOUL on February 9 at Kent State University’s Performing Arts Center in Tuscarawas.
Burson will perform with a 10-piece band; The setlist includes songs by Carole King, Ray Charles, Bill Withers, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations and Etta James.

John Waite on the Kent Stage
Singer-songwriter John Waite will perform at the Kent Stage, 175 E. Main St. on February 3rd.
Known for his classic rock and pop song hits, the longtime musician will perform material from his entire career, including “Isn’t It Time”, “Every Time I Think of You”, “Missing You” and “When I see you”. To smile.”
