“We are all absolutely devastated to hear of Florence’s passing and our best wishes go out to all the Dunn family,” Surrey Cricket Director Alec Stewart said in a statement.
“We will support Matt and Jessica as much as we can.”
Dunn posted a picture of Florence to his Instagram Stories on Thursday with the caption, “You will be in my heart forever.”
In a separate statement on Instagram, Florence’s parents wrote: “Finding the words at this point is almost impossible. You were loved so incredibly and the impression you made over so many lifetimes is something to behold, you lit up every room you walked in. We will forever be so proud of you and your battle baby.”
Dunn, a former England Under-19 player, has won 117 wickets at 36.21 since his first-class debut in 2010.
He has also represented Surrey in 18 List A and 23 T20 games over the past 11 years.
