Love You My Arrogance 2 Netflix Movie Review – This is all we’ve ever seen!

Love You My Arrogance 2 is the newly released Thai movie on Netflix, a sequel to Love You My Arrogance movie. The second part continues the story that was offered to us in the first but with some additional new characters. The main characters remain the same, and their story and emotions also remain the same.

Love You My Arrogance 2 tells us the story of two social media stars/ YouTubers named Sun and Tul who compete in a tourism video competition and who is also the love interest of the female protagonist named Anna. Anna was introduced as a novelist in the first part and in the second part we see that her novel will be filmed by a well-known producer. Sun was introduced as someone with the supernatural power to listen to people’s thoughts. This characteristic of him was also retained in the second part. Anna, who is in love with Sun, finds it difficult to get her thoughts across and also learns that her ex Tul is still in love with her. We see the three fighting fairly for their love and also excelling in their professions.

To be precise, the film doesn’t have a very compelling story. The story is all we’ve ever seen. It has a plot that has been told in many other films and also has cliche characteristics for the characters. Best friends of the protagonists trying to bring the leads together and live up to the comedy element of a film is something we see in a lot of romantic comedy, and Love You My Arrogance 2 stuck to that as well. It’s pretty obvious to guess who Anna will end up with. The story is straight forward and contains no suspense.

The only additional element that we understand from the story is something revealed about Anna’s character towards the end of the story. Other than that, there is nothing different or new about the story when compared to other romantic comedies or the first part of this film. The supernatural power that the character has doesn’t save the film from being your average watch either, as the power wasn’t used in a way that could amaze the audience. It feels like this element was added just so the movie doesn’t seem too boring.

Surprisingly, although part two is a continuation of part one, it can be easily viewed by someone unfamiliar with part one. Still, Love You My Arrogance 2 is a very average movie with a cheesy plot and doesn’t offer us anything else. It can be considered a feel good film as it has a very slow pacing and can be categorized as a once-in-a-lifetime watch.

bottom line – [5/10]
