But with the advent of the 2022 regulation reshuffle, the dominant force of the turbo-hybrid era felt it was falling short of its goals. Of course, the new normal has been difficult for the 7x champion to cope with. As he continues to seek further fame, the somber mood at the team’s Brackley-based factory is sure to weigh on him.

One thing is for sure, Hamilton has his eyes firmly set on that elusive 8th world title. Be that as it may, from today’s perspective, that’s a distant dream for the multiple champion. As such, it has now been speculated that Hamilton may have resorted to other means to restore the glory of his earlier recognition.

Lewis Hamilton is known as an attention seeker

Hamilton has had many critics in recent years. While they have targeted his motivations and mojo, a certain ex-Formula One driver has now come out and claimed Hamilton resorted to childish maneuvers to get people back on his side.

According to Ralf Schumacher, “Lewis Hamilton wants attention, you can see that in his outfits” as quoted from Crash.net. This might seem an outlandish claim at first, but Schumacher believes Hamilton has been more proactive in this quest since he was outclassed by teammate George Russell during the Miami Grand Prix.

But while much has been said about Hamilton and his intentions in the sport, the Brit is as motivated as ever to keep fighting.

Hamilton reveals what drives him

From the point of view of Formula 1, being Lewis Hamilton would be the most difficult thing at the moment. However, with his championship mentality and obvious racing pedigree, he has revealed what keeps him going despite being currently down.

GPFans.com cited Hamilton as revealing, “The last sprint race where I went backwards was demoralizing. So it was great to have the pace and make a few overtakes. That’s what I live for.”
