Law Roach Responds to Video by Zendaya Louis Vuitton

Law Roach commented on this viral video, which appeared to show that he had a disagreement with Zendaya at a Louis Vuitton fashion show.
If you missed it, you were go into the March 6 event when Zendaya rushed over and grabbed the last seat in the front row, leaving Law behind. After exchanging words, Zendaya turned and gestured to the seat behind her as if offering him a chair there. Law then shook his head while forming what I imagine was a “girl, no.”
Although some believed this led to Law’s abrupt retirement announcement a week later, Law clarified that there is no beef with them at all.
Speaking to the Cut, Law said there was just some confusion about where to sit because they arrived late due to traffic. “We left on time, but I don’t know if our driver went the wrong way, but we got stuck in traffic,” he said. “Also it was a long way how we came in to get to your place. It was a long way. So it was a lot of fear because Zendaya is really respectful and she doesn’t like when people have to wait for her to do it, so it was just fear.”
Law said when they arrived, the Vuitton team also began “shuffling” them to their seats very quickly. He thought he would sit next to Zendaya because he “always” does, but was surprised when there was no other seat for him.
“In my mind, my place was next to her,” Law shared. “When I got there and it wasn’t, it wasn’t a problem, but there was no one to tell me where my actual seat was.”
Law explained that when Zendaya gestured to the chair behind him, she didn’t offer it to him, instead telling him that the seat was already reserved for her assistant, Darnell. “She told me, ‘That’s Darnell’s seat,’ that’s her assistant. I will not sit in Darnell’s seat. So where is he going? And so I stood there – I was really just kind of confused. And remember we had just done an insane rush to get there so it’s scared how you sweat.
He refuted the idea that “Zendaya didn’t care about me and didn’t make sure I was taken care of” — and wrote on Twitter that even though he’s retiring, they’re “forever”!
