The winter storm that hit Oklahoma Tuesday brought several inches of snow to the Sooner State.
Western Oklahoma appears to have been the “winner” when it comes to total snowfall.
According to Norman’s National Weather Service, Erick received 7 inches, Reydon 6 inches, Hammon 5 inches, Elk City 4.2 inches, Leedey 4 inches and Sayre 3.8 inches.
The storm forced most, if not all, local school districts to cancel school for the day, but classes resumed for the area today.
Looking ahead, a warming trend will continue for the rest of the week, with temperatures peaking in the mid-50s on Saturday before another cold front moves into Saturday night. The closest moisture probability in the area is Monday night with a 20% chance of rain or freezing rain.
