HP Specter x360 in 2022 specification to match Apple MacBook Pro M2, MacBook Air M2

HP Specter x360 has been updated for 2022 with the latest processors and several new features. Here’s everything about these slim notebooks.

HP Specter x360, HP’s flagship laptops, now takes on the recently introduced Apple MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with M2 chips. Both laptops get a refreshed design, lots of smart features inside, and plenty of performance improvements. The Specter x360 is available in two sizes this year – a new 13.5-inch size and a 16-inch size. Both models are based on the latest 12th generation Intel processors.

The HP Specter x360 series is available in two color schemes – Nightfall Black with bright brass accents and Nocturne Blue with celestial blue accents. The HP Specter 13.5 x360 will be priced at Rs. 129,999 and the HP Specter 16 x360 will be priced at Rs. 139,999. Both new HP Specter x360 laptops are currently available for pre-order through the HP website, select HP World stores, Croma and Reliance stores.

HP Specter x360 gets BIG refresh for 2022

The Specter x360 16 (2022) model gets a 16-inch 4K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Note that this display also supports touchscreen input, is VESA certified, and is powered by a 5 MP IR -Camera is supported. HP says its HP Auto Frame camera feature keeps the user in focus wherever they are, similar to Apple’s CenterStage. The AI-based privacy alert feature blurs the screen when someone is behind to improve privacy in public workspaces.

The laptop also gets features like walk-away lock and wake-on approach. HP also integrates health and well-being features like screen distance reminders and screen time reminders to take a short break. There’s even support for gesture controls like pause, play, forward, and back. The laptop also features directional beamforming microphones and quad speakers, as well as bi-directional AI noise cancellation to provide an enhanced video and audio calling experience.

In terms of performance, the Specter x360 16 runs on the 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processor along with Intel ARC graphics. The connectivity options of the HP Specter x360 16 include Wi-Fi 6e and Thunderbolt 4 other than the I/O ports. HP promises up to 16 hours of battery life on a single charge, and there’s support for fast charging, which charges to 50 percent in 30 minutes.

The HP Specter x360 13.5 model, on the other hand, has a smaller 13.5-inch OLED display with 3000 x 2000 pixels and touchscreen input. The rest of the specs remain unchanged from the 16-inch model, save for the GPU, which is an Intel Iris Xe graphics solution instead of the powerful ARC system.
