How to get Shiny Tapu Koko

The shiny variant of Tapu Koko has finally made its debut in Pokémon GO, and getting it might be easier than expected. Here’s how players can grab it.

Pokemon GO Shiny Tapu Koko was added to the game for the first time this January. The Electric- and Fairy-type Legendary Pokémon from the Alola region was already available in the popular mobile title, but its Shiny variant has only just arrived. Aside from the sparkle it displays at the start of an encounter, a Shiny Tapu Koko is also notable for its salmon-colored feather and large black shell mask, as opposed to the traditional yellow. Embracing Black for her shells is also the case for all Shiny variants in the legendary group of Guardian Deities.

Tapu Koko is just one of the many different raids in Pokemon GO So in January, players also had a chance to get other Shiny Legendaries in raid replays. Although a copy of a legendary creature is guaranteed at the end of each legendary raid, the chances of it being a shiny are pretty slim. As such, you will find a Shiny Tapu Koko in Pokemon GO may require players to participate in multiple raids.

The only two ways to get a Shiny Tapu Koko are through Legendary Raids and Trading. Considering the very high amount of stardust required for such a trade, the most effective method is through the use of raids. Additionally, Pokemon GO Raids have the best Shiny odds in the game – the standard odds of finding a Shiny Pokémon in the wild are around 1 in 500. That means there’s a 0.2% chance of stumbling upon a Shiny, according to Bulbapedia . However, for Legendary and Mythical Pokémon, this rate drops significantly to a generous 5% (1 in 20).

Players who attempt to catch a Shiny Tapu Koko have a 5% chance of rolling one at the end of each Legendary Raid. It’s important to note that players don’t necessarily find a Shiny on their 20th try, as they can find it relatively early, on their first try, or disappointingly later, say on their 30th try. To ensure the raids finish quickly, players should ensure they are using the best Tapu Koko brands Pokemon GO.

As this is a legendary raid, it is important to ensure that the activity is not carried out alone. As pointed out by Jogada Excelente, the suggestion is that there are at least four players over level 30, three or more trainers over level 40, or three raiders over level 50. Due to his typing, Tapu Koko is weak against both Ground-types and Poison-type moves. Players who eventually encounter a Shiny Tapu Koko should know that its capture rate is 100%, meaning that every single Premier Ball that hits it properly will result in its capture. If players are worried about missing too many Premier Balls, they should use a Nanab Berry to stop her attacking.

Tapu Koko Legendary Raid in Pokemon GO Execution is limited until February 1st at 10:00 local time. Therefore, players have until this date and time to catch a Shiny Tapu Koko. If they miss the opportunity, they’ll have to wait for the Pokémon to return to raids in the future, or persuade someone else to trade. Fortunately, other events are planned Pokemon GO February should keep the unfortunate trainers busy, such as Noibat Community Day, which will increase the Shiny rates of the Sonic Wave Pokémon.
