Playing in normal survival mode in Minecraft 1.19 can be very difficult. You have to pay attention to many stats like hunger and health and you need more and more resources. However, Mojang added a way for players to easily get whatever they want, even in survival mode. If you just want to create a fun start world for your friends or yourself, here’s how to enable cheats in Minecraft 1.19, both Java and Bedrock editions.

How to enable cheats in Minecraft 1.19 Java Edition

Minecraft 1.19 Java Edition is a bit restrictive when it comes to cheats. You can either activate them when you create the world, or you can activate them temporarily by using a gimmick. Here’s how to enable cheats in Minecraft 1.19 Java Edition when creating a world:

  1. Open Minecraft and create a new world.
  2. In the menu after clicking the Create New World button you will see the settings for this new world. The second setting on the left is the Allow Cheats option. turn it on

Now you can continue creating the world and you have the option to use cheats at any time. However, if you have already created a world and want to use cheats in it, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Enter the world you created and open the game menu by pressing Esc.
  2. Press right on the Open to LAN option.
  3. Turn on the Allow Cheats option.
  4. Click the Launch LAN World button at the bottom of the screen.

You can now use the cheat console as long as your LAN party is running. When you return to the world later, you’ll need to do all of these steps again if you want to enable cheats.

How to enable cheats in Minecraft 1.19 Bedrock Edition

Enabling cheats in Minecraft 1.19 Bedrock Edition is relatively easy. You can activate them either when creating the world or during your gameplay. Here’s what you need to do to enable cheats in Minecraft 1.19 Bedrock:

  1. Go to Settings and open the Game Settings category. It should be the one that opens first when entering the settings menu. When you create a new world, you will find this menu before you click the “Create” button.
  2. Scroll down until you find the “Cheats” heading with the “Enable Cheats” switch. You can also see it in the screenshot above.
  3. Enable cheats by clicking the button.

You can disable them at any time by going into settings and turning off the Enable Cheats option. Players now have access to the cheat console, which they can use to do whatever they want.
