Some Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players may want to solo Mighty Decidueye. In this case, Miraidon is the best option. The only downside is that this Legendary is exclusive to Violet, meaning Scarlet players will have to obtain it through trading.

Both games allow Trainers to get two Box Legendaries, meaning it shouldn’t be too hard to find someone willing to trade Miraidon for Koraidon. Here’s why Miraidon is arguably the best counter for this particular 7-star Tera Raid fight:

  • Very high base stats make it tough and resist hits fairly easily.
  • Electric/Dragon resists Brave Bird, Leaf Blade, and Air Cutter.
  • Electric/Dragon is neutral to Low Kick and Spirit Shackle, meaning you have no weaknesses against this enemy.
  • Electric STAB + Hadron Engine hits incredibly hard.
  • Feather Dance targets offense, meaning a special attacker doesn’t care about the stat drop.

The video below shows a very interesting strategy related to Miraidon vs Decidueye in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

It’s actually possible to 1 hit KO this 7 star Tera Raid battle in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. To do this, build Miraidon as follows:

  • Even: 100
  • Electric Vehicles: 252 col. ATK / 252 HP / 4 Defense
  • Movements: Metal sound + charge + electro drift
  • Article: life orb

Use Metal Sound three times and then use Charge. A single Electro Drift should take care of Decidueye. The only downside to attempting this solo method is that some NPC partners will do too much damage and cause the boss to create a shield.

If that happens, simply restart the Tera Raid battle.

Another solid option available in both Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is Bellibolt. Here’s a build to consider:

  • Even: 100
  • Capability: electromorphosis
  • Electric Vehicles: 252 col. ATK / 252 HP / 4 Defense
  • Movements: Reflect + Parabolic Charge + Acid Spray + Electric Terrain
  • Article: Electric Seed

Alternatively, you can use Chilling Water over Electric Terrain if you want to reduce Mighty Decidueye’s Attack stat and then use a Shell Bell for extra healing. You can learn Parabolic Charge by getting your Bellibolt to hold a mirrorweed while hanging out with something Parabolic Charge already knows during a picnic.

Any other bulky special attacker will do. For example, Ampharos is pretty hard to take down with Cotton Guard. Other old fan favorites like Iron Hands can work; Just keep in mind that Feather Dance makes it more RNG-based than necessary.
