PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas (AP) — Bobby Pettiford Jr. hit a twisted reverse layup after a loose rebound with 0.2 seconds left in overtime to give No. 3 Kansas a 69-68 win over Wisconsin in a Battle 4 Atlantis to bring semi-finals. Jalen Wilson scored 29 points and had 14 rebounds for the reigning national champion Jayhawks and Kevin McCullar Jr. had 18 points and nine rebounds — and a 3 to force overtime. Tyler Wahl led the Badgers with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Most of his points came after halftime in what was at times a one-man comeback.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Zach Edey had 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead No. 24 Purdue to an 80-68 win over West Virginia in Thursday night’s opening round of the Phil Knight Legacy tournament. Mason Gillis added 14 points for the Boilermakers (4-0) and Brandon Newman came off the bench to score eight points. Erik Stevenson scored 17 points as the Mountaineers lost (3-1) for the first time this season. Joe Toussaint added 16 points from the bench.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Freshman Tamin Lipsey scored four free throws, his only points of the game, in the final 20 seconds of overtime when he also had a key steal, and Iowa State defeated Villanova 81-79 in the Phil Knight invitation. The Cyclones opened the second half with a 17-1 run and took a 51-35 lead, but the Wildcats grabbed the last seven regular points. Gabe Kalscheur, who led Iowa State by 25 points, had five points in overtime. Caleb Daniels led the Wildcats by 25 points.

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) — Tanner Groves posted a season-high 17 points, Jacob Groves added 16 and Oklahoma defeated Nebraska 69-56 to open the ESPN Events Invitational. The Groves brothers scored 13 of Oklahoma’s last 17 points in the first half to take a 41-34 lead. Jacob Groves had 12 points in the first half. Oklahoma capitalized on a 6-0 run midway through the second half to extend their lead to 55-43, and the Sooners led by double digits the rest of the way. Jalen Hill scored 13 points and Grant Sherfield had 10 points and eight assists for Oklahoma. Juwan Gary had 16 points and seven rebounds for Nebraska.

ST. THOMAS, VIRGIN ISLANDS (AP) — Gabby Gregory made six 3-pointers for 22 points, and No. 25 Kansas State used a 30-4 in the third quarter to drive past Clemson 76-38 in the Paradise Jam. Kansas State led by just three points at halftime, 32-29 before taking the game-changing third. The Wildcats finished fourth, 14-5. Jaelyn Glenn scored 16 points and Brylee Glenn added 12 points for Kansas State playing northern Arizona on Friday. Ruby Whitehorn had eight points for Clemson, who faces Arkansas on Friday. The Tigers shot 12 of 46 (26%). The last meeting between the schools was on November 25, 1990 in Manhattan, Kan. instead, a 68-61 win by Clemson.

LAHAINA, Hawaii (AP) — Justice Sueing scored 23 of his career-best 33 points in the second half to help Ohio State hold off No. 21 Texas Tech for an 80-73 win in the game for fifth place in the Maui Invitational. Sueing scored 15 straight points for the Buckeyes in the last 10 minutes to repel Tech every time it threatened to make a run. Ohio State shot 52% from the field, made all 18 free throws and was never behind after the first two minutes. Texas Tech earned a career-high 21 points from Daniel Batcho and 19 from Kevin Obanor.

PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas (AP) — First-year guard Gradey Dick scored a season-high 25 points to help No. 3 Kansas beat North Carolina State 80-74 in the opener of Battle 4 Atlantis. With that, coach Bill Self successfully returned to the bench after a four-game suspension. Dick had 18 points on six 3-pointers in the first half before going off the field 1 for 8 after the half. Kansas led 39:31 at halftime, but had to drag this game into the final minutes. Casey Morsell scored 21 points to lead the Wolfpack while Terquavion Smith added 19 points.

WACO, Texas (AP) — True freshman Keyonte George scored 17 points, Adam Flagler added 13 with nine assists and seventh-ranked Baylor retired with an 89-60 win from McNeese State. LJ Cryer had 16 points for the 5-1 Bears. The Bears had 30 assists on their 34 field goals. Dale Bonner had 12 assists with seven points. Langston Love scored 11 points. Jonathan Massie and Zach Scott each had 12 points for 2-4 McNeese State.
