Here are the last 3 times Kansas has lost 3 times directly under Bill Self

The loss of Kansas men’s basketball away to Baylor on Monday meant the Jayhawks suffered a third straight loss for the fourth straight season with Coach Bill Self at the helm.

This losing streak also includes losses to TCU at home and Kansas State on the road. Previous coaches in three games under Self occurred in the 2020–21, 2012–13, and 2004–05 seasons. Self took over the Kansas program prior to the 2003-04 season and has never lost four straight games with the Jayhawks.

Before the No. 9 Jayhawks (16-4, 5-3 in the Big 12 Conference) take on Kentucky on Saturday and try to avoid that four-game losing streak, here’s a look at previous three-game droughts under Self .

2020/21 season: Oklahoma State 75-70, Baylor 77-69, Oklahoma 75-68

That three-game losing streak also came in January during Big 12 play. It also included a road trip to Baylor. And it came with his share of close defeats.
