Hi everyone, I’m tracking the *** severe weather outbreak this afternoon into the evening hours back west and unfortunately this is a *** overnight severe weather outbreak with tornadoes back through Tennessee, parts of Alabama to Mississippi, even Louisiana is at risk for tornadoes Luckily for us here at home, this system is significantly weakened when it gets here, there is *** lots of storm fuel back west and *** lots of ingredients for tornadoes, especially over Mississippi tonight, every 12:00 p.m. the way through four or am. This area could be related to tornado risks for us here at home since the instability isn’t that great. So we don’t have the atmosphere to bring us severe weather but we will get some thunder rolls with some heavy rain falling tonight and early parts of tomorrow morning. When you wake up we will be dealing with intermittent heavy rain and temperatures in the low to mid fifties and as we see hourly tomorrow this is really just an early morning event. There will be most of the day with some sunshine and windy conditions. It’s also going to be a pretty darn balmy day, a good one in the morning, but then the cooler air starts to rush in and it’s going to be a darn chilly evening in the Asheville Hendersonville area. Heavy rain is approaching the area and will spread late Tuesday evening. Rain will be heaviest from 1am to 7am. Continued heavy rain along with some thunderstorms is likely overnight and into early Wednesday morning. At this point it looks like a good torrential downpour with most models showing an average of around 2.5cm. Some localized spots may receive higher amounts. Skies should clear up by mid morning on Wednesday. It will be very windy and mild with high temperatures in the upper 60’s before the cold air arrives. Thursday morning begins with freezing temperatures in most areas, with daily highs in the 50s. Friday morning will be even colder.
