Heaven Official’s Blessing Season 2 may not be released
It may be a long time before fans can see season 2 of Heavenly Officer’s Blessing.
According to akira (@/skyarise)’s translation, Jiang Guangtao is the most famous voice actor for his work in BL Donghua Heavenly Officer’s Blessing, was “suspected of criminal offenses and processed by the authorities”. According to the translation of ComfyBowl on Reddit, authorities arrested Jiang for embezzling $2 million worth of public funds in late 2022. Jiang’s studio, Houlang Studio, has terminated its contract with him, along with three other voice actors, Song Ming, Wang Xue and song yang. Heavenly Officer’s Blessing, the third novel penned by popular author Mo Xiang Tong Xiu, received a Donghua adaptation animated by Haoliners Animation League in October 2020. At Bilibili’s New Year’s Eve party in December 2022, the director of the Donghua adaptation expressed hope for a late 2023 release date for season 2. However, this may change due to Jiang’s arrest. There’s no word on Jiang’s role in yet Heavenly Officer’s Blessing be reconsidered.
